This is a heavenly, quick, delicious soup! I got this from a church dinner we had. The Pastor's wife hates to cook, and this is her favorite quick take...one taste and it is mine now too! Great for socials.
Literally, SIX freakin' cans!! (It has been brought to my attention that there are only FIVE freakin' cans. Ooops, sorry. Usually I don't have a problem counting to five, but there you go. Enjoy the recipe anyway!)
An older recipe from Sunset magazine. When I'm the only one home for supper, this is probably my favorite thing to make. It's a quick, soothing recipe, and I get to have leftovers for lunch the next day! Note: Zaar does not recognize "potstickers", but that's what I mean by stuffed wontons.
I came up with this after reading a tip from a can of refried beans. I first made my chicken version and then thought it would be great with black beans instead of the meat. So easy to put together and a delicious soup.
Here's and easy and really quick soup that is ready to serve in 15 minutes, thanks to your microwave oven. You can even substitute frozen, thawed meatballs for the hot dogs. In addition to all that, the soup is truly yummy! Recipe is from the Sept./Oct., 2009 issue of Simple and Delicious magazine.
One of Johnny's first creations, this is a great, easy, and budget friendly comfort food that can be made up in no time flat! Be sure and look for more wonderful JJ recipes from us. If it's got jalapenos, it's Johnny Jalapeno!
Had a sample in the store and it was very good and easy. I tasted it with turkey but you can use either turkey, beef, chicken or tofu. The bean salad is a 3 bean medley (Chickpeas, red kidney, and Romano beans) in a lemon and white vinegar marinade with garlic, onion, and oregano called Marinated Bean Salad and it is sold as a Trader Joe's brand product.
I invented this recipe completely on my own on a cold winter day when I craved something spicy but simple. I've never made plain tomato soup since :) It's a truly wonderful change, spicy but creamy, warm and smooth..and kids love it. If your children are particularly sensitive to spiceiness, you may want to reduce the hot pepper sauce and possibly eliminate the red pepper flakes. My boyfriend and his son actually came up with the name "Dorito Soup." They love it on a cold day! I'm sure yours will, too!
