    Recipe #113096

My mom has been making this for years for all of us. This is something that goes well on any sudden moment, you know, when guests walk in all of a sudden, when thirsty kids come running to mom's arms from school, when a tired student needs something to wake him/her up, when you meet with an accident and need to chill...lol, but not kidding...VERY SERIOUS here---on 26th March when I met with an accident and came home and cried my heart out, my mom who NEVER cooks or even steps into the kitchen, walked in and made this for me. I drank 2 huge glasses!! This really relaxes you, makes you feel like you've got a new life, really makes your mood! Enjoy this summer with this drink!

This tea I first had in Bali. It is refreshing and delicious hot or cold. Easy to make if you can find the lemongrass however most Asian markets should carry it. My mother who is diabetic loves the natural flavor of the lemongrass without the sugar. Be careful about adding the ginger as it will give an almost "hot and spicy" flavor to the tea! Try the tea without first and then next time try it with the ginger.

My friend Lorraine B gave me this wonderful recipe when I was looking for an interesting hostess gift. One of the best things about this recipe is that it only takes one week to infuse, as opposed to up to a month that I've seen in other recipes. I actually made a quadruple recipe and got 6 bottles to give as gifts (I kept one for myself, of course!). At last night's preliminary tasting (2 hours after bottling) I can tell you that this is a very refreshing tipple! I'm also going to try this with oranges this winter.
