I'm originally from Minnesota, and if Minnesota is famous for one thing, it's hotdish. You might know it better as casserole, or something like that, but in Minnesota, it's hotdish. This is my mom's recipe, the same one that she used to make for me when I was little.
This is good. I've had the recipe for awhile, but don't remember where I got it. I've been looking for it again, and came across it in my private recipes, so I decided to make it public, after cleaning it up a bit.
This originated from making sausage stuffing to go with turkey, but when I reversed the quantities, so that it was more meat than stuffing, it became a main dish in itself and soo cheap and simple. I like to serve it with a cauliflower cheese and roast parsnips.
This taco bake is amazing. I know that the ingredients look as though they would taste weird when combined, but I love this meal. Kids would probably love this, and it's wicked simple and wicked cheap.
A slightly altered recipe from Kraft Canada's Easy Pleasing Meatloaf. I've made it a few times and really like it; it lives up to it's name quite well. This would probably work with other kinds of meats as well as meatless mixtures.
