The basic formula I came up with for making any tasty soup. Kinda a clean out the fridge what do you got recipe!

Recipe #241324

This is a light recipe from Shape Magazine.

Recipe #56338

From The Everything Healthy Slow Cooker Cookbook

Recipe #453257

Just as the title says, this is easy to prepare; but it tastes just wonderful. My SIL prepared this for us one day and I had to have the recipe. Note that the alcohol in the wine cooks off; this dish is acceptable for children.

Here's an easy chicken entree on a busy day. Just coat the chicken and bake. You can put together the rest of the meal while it's baking! Delicious!

I make do sometimes, as most of us do. A simple recipe in a rice cooker. Inexpensive and pantry friendly. This is probably bland for some people, but it would be tummy friendly to sensitive stomachs, as well as filling. Use a rice cooker, except for the skillet to crumble and brown the ground turkey in. Substitute as you like. (Use left over chicken or diced roast, perhaps?) Keep it simple.

Strangely enough, I got this recipe over at, given by their financial blogger. It was he who dubbed this recipe "simplest and tastiest." By giving this recipe,he was making the point that you save money and eat better by cooking at home rather than eating out. This does sound tasty to me and I can't wait to try it So I'm saving the recipe here.

Recipe #435735

This is a quick & flavorful dish that was given to me by a friend & is loved by our whole family!

Recipe #433939

This uses ground beef and jarred beef gravy. If you had the ground beef already cooked you could finish dinner in the time it takes for the noodles to cook. I usually make it from scratch but if you are in a big hurry or like me have several of those jars sitting around and I don't know what to do with them.

I found this online at I made it and was blown away by how yummy it was. I did not add white rice to the recipe, but you can easily get away with many many cups of cooked rice with how much sauce this makes. The onion soup packet is just a reg. sized one. Some say they are 1oz others say 1 1/4 oz. I'm sure either will work. UPDATE: I have since made this with regular cream of mushroom soup and it was wicked salty and tasted completely different for me. I recommend only using the low-fat/fat free kind.

Recipe #448124

This is more of a technique for using parchment cooking bags such as those made by PaperChef to cook fish than a recipe.

A friend mentioned baking salmon with blue cheese at dinner one night. Salmon? Blue Cheese? Sounded YUM to me! I couldn't find an actual recipe here so I came up with my own.

Recipe #440083

SUPER EASY! I love to create new things - and needed something fast & easy to make with what we had on hand. This is what I came up with - no complaints from the wife, 2 kids, or me!

Recipe #438559

So good my kids ask for seconds! BBQ sauce can be used in place of ketchup.

Recipe #431992

Mushroom flavored meatballs. Would be good on spaghetti, noodles, or for an appetizer.

Recipe #453276

I can't believe I like this dish as much as I do. I was surprised. This is a variation of a rather bland scrambled egg mix that I found on the net but turning it onto an egg foo yung is really special. Add your own favorite things but this is a good start. If you add water chestnuts, ham, shrimp, pork, whatever- then you will have to adjust the cooking time. This is a basic recipe- make it your own. But an easy recipe to amend- as soon as the egg is set- then it is done! I really love this and it is so good for a family on a budget or a bachelor short on time. If you want a terrific egg foo yung sauce then try this one Recipe#45270 .

Recipe #424697

This is from "Heal Your Heart", the Rice Diet book. I haven't made it yet.

This is almost too easy to be called a recipe, but I had to share it anyway. I came up with it one night when I wanted a nice meal but wasn't feeling too motivated. I love Crock-Pot cooking!
