This comes from a cookbook from a local realty business. I have not tried it, but the name caught my eye! I read the ingredients and thought this sounded like a delicious "slushy" drink! I am dedicating it to a much loved Zaar member who goes by the name of Iron Bloomers! LOL!
This dressing is out of this world!! My husband and I were eating it with a spoon, dipping bread in it, serving it as a sauce over our chicken - very versatile!! Would be great too served over iceberg lettuce wedges!!
Be prepared for the best Greek salad on the planet! --- plan ahead the dressing needs at least 2 or more hours to blend the flavors, I sometimes add in 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese to the dressing for a more cheesy dressing, all amounts may be adjusted to taste ---- to marinade the salad allow to sit at room temperature before serving, see bottom of instructions --- you will find this and many more of my recipes posted here http://kittencalskitchen.com/2009/04/13/kittens-famous-greek-salad/ ---also see my recipe #359292
When I make this recipe I put lots and lots of Parmesan cheese in it and I do not put it under the broiler. I even make it the night before serving. Excellent. This is from a wonderful restaurant in Fullerton, California who gives out the recipe on postcards. Everyone asks for the recipe when I bring it to dinners.
A method I have been using for over 30 years, you will never boil corn in just water again once you try this, this method produces a very tender and sweet corn on the cob, I promise! --- do not add in any salt to the water as it will make the corn tough
My fave Chinese restaurant has the BEST lo mein I ever put across my lips. It's simple, cheap, and very filling if you need that kinda dish. This can be made for literally pennies and everyone will appreciate this because it can be dressed up or dressed down. Cook and prep times approximate.
