This is the method used by restaurants to whip butter to make it easier to spread, and for economical reasons to make butter go a lot further too. You can make it fancy like restaurants do by putting this mixture into a cake decorating tube with a fancy tip and pipe it into small dishes for individual servings. I have even used a plastic bag, cut off the corner, placed a fancy decorating tip in the corner, added the butter mixture and piped it into tiny dishes I got at the dollar store. One for each dinner guest is a nice touch. I store the whipped butter in a glass covered container on the counter top in cooler weather. In warmer weather I store it in the refrigerator and bring it to room temperature before using.

This is a traditional part of our Christmas day dinner that has been wishy washy since my Grandmother died. I have only one 6 serving popover pan, so when I found this recipe at marthastewart.com, I was thrilled. My mother's recipe calls for putting the Yorkshires into a cold oven which is an impossibility so another thumbs up for this recipe. **It DOES call for resting/chilling for 4 hours - overnight, which is not included in the prep/cook time**. I just mixed it up in the morning. It wasn't fussy about cooktime - I started at the lower end of the recommended cooktime and checked it every 5 minutes. It just kept getting bigger & bigger!!! I cooked it for a total of 35 minutes. When it came out of the oven, Mom said it looked just like my Grandmother's. The ULTIMATE compliment. And my FIL wants a copy of the recipe. I also used a 9x13" pan so I could use the roasting pan for gravy. I had the leftovers for breakfast with a bowl of gravy. Yup, no kidding. Enjoy!

I found this recipe on smartsource.dom and revised it. It is unbelievably good; it's packed with flavour. If you are a cilantro lover, this is something you can't miss.

Family Spanish rice recipe with Rotel and bacon. Don't leave out the bacon fat and butter, it adds a lot of the flavor to the dish. Use Hot Rotel if you like it really spicy.

I got this recipe from a cowboy cookoff contest. It is easy, and good.

Another easy prepare ahead and cook later dish. Assemble in the morning, refrigerate then cook for dinner. This can be a meal in itself or a side dish.

I've had this recipe for awhile. It is very easy to make.

Here is the version of Taco Rice that we have made at our house. It came out of the freezer and tasted better than the day we made it I thought. I also boiled the ground beef. I made it because it was a recipe that my sister-in-law wanted to make when we were cooking together. My family liked it and so did I. I will definitely make this again. Khandi Taco Rice

This is a great recipe for leftover aborio rice. I used Recipe #77050. Do use your favorite cooked Mexican rice. This is Italian rice balls gone South! These are great to bring to parties just reheat in 425°F oven for 10 minutes!

    Recipe #271308

This recipe for a delicious and easy rice side dish came from Michael at Gail’s Recipe Swap, and I’ve fiddled with it a little. Although I don’t get to eat rice often, this one looks so tasty I have to put it here for safe keeping when I get to splurge! :)

    Recipe #115503

I like this recipe because it uses NO OIL, making it the most guilt-free french fries recipe that I know of. It has been scaled down for 1-2 people. Try adding ground red pepper if you like your fries spicy.

    Recipe #149844

I have become a real fan of pearl barley over the last year or so of trying move to a healthier way of eating. Now and then I play around to see if I can do something new with it because I really think it is an underused food item. Particularly as it low fat and the sort of slow burning carb that is great for those of us trying to control our insulin. For this recipe I used a mild chili powder because but I am a spice wimp. So, if your family likes things hotter go for a medium or even a hot strength chili powder.

    Recipe #301761

I am a big fan of pearl barley as it is cheap, tasty, healthy and very filling. This sounds like a great new way to enjoy pearl barley with a bit of an Italian flare. I originally found this recipe in the BBC Good Food Magazine.

Grill these potatoes next to your next grilled steak or chicken recipe. Easy cleanup and a very nice side dish.

    Recipe #33133

There is no shortening or butter in these biscuits, light fluffy and high with leftover mashed potatoes or instant mashed potatoes and with a slight touch of herbs in the dry dressing mix. This is so easy! One of my hubby's favorites.
