My mom has been making this as long as I can remember. She found the original recipe on a box of rice in the 80's. She always served it as an entree but I make it as a side dish because it's not enough for my meat and potatoes man. You can spice it up by using hot sausage. Try it, you will not be disappointed.

I adapted this from a bag of Publix supermarket brand Extra Long Grain rice. I love it because it has 4 ingredients but has so much flavor. It's wonderful to use to sop up broth or gravy from entrees...

This was in a recent issue of the kids page in the Sunday paper. It's so easy that even a child can do it and yet it is very good! You can vary the seasonings to your taste.

I won't lie and say this is the "best" German potato salad, but I am pretty sure it is the fasted which earns it a lot of extra points in my book. I don't always have the time to peel and boil potatoes and the canned potatoes are a great cheat.

I got this recipe years ago from the ladies at St Mary's Catholic Church in Barnesville, MD. We were cooking turkeys for a community Thanksgiving dinner and they wanted a consistent tasting dressing. The only change I have made to it is to add the 3 whole eggs. The recipe is for a 20-25 pound turkey, but if you make one third of the recipe, it makes more than enough for a 12-15 pound bird. You'll never use another recipe after this one. I've also baked it outside the bird in a greased casserole at 350 degrees for about 1-1 1/2 hours. Depending on how moist you like your stuffing, I often add 2- 2 1/2 cups of chicken broth to the bread - but this was not in the original recipe.

C can remember the first time V ever had this--V was 12 yrs. old. I went in to a neighbors and smelled the wonderful aroma of sautéed onion and bacon and when I asked about it, was invited to watch the whole dish and eat. I thought I was in heaven. It was so good.
