A really special friend shared this recipe with me several years ago. It was his trick for dressing up those inexpensive noodles for his kids, and I think it is very good. This is great on its own as a quick meal, but can be an easy side for many dishes. We prefer the chicken or beef flavored noodles for this.

Delicious and simple--you can have this on the table in mere minutes. Use bottled vinaigrette or make your own. I used a double recipe of Bergy's Lemon Garlic Dijon Vinaigrette (recipe #96361)--it was fantastic and complimented the dish perfectly. I served topped with freshly ground black pepper and freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano.

Very nice pasta salad that I found on Midwest Living's site. Add some meat if you would like a more substantial main dish salad--I added cubed grilled chicken breast to the leftover salad and it was very good. Cook time includes chill time.

From the Kraft food magazine. Just a simple way to prepare summer veggies. Favorites here are zucchini, red onion, peppers and mushrooms.

    Recipe #130661

The whole family, particularly my DIL, love this basic side dish. The bacon and the onion are the key.

This is a nicely-flavored simple salad that I love and make often in the summer. My husband is not as crazy about tomatoes as I am, but he will eat seconds of this dish. I clipped the recipe out of a newspaper several years ago.

Yummy! This is great as a main dish or leave the meat out and use as a side!

    Recipe #126370

This is one of my favorite cold taco salads. It's best prepared and served the same day.

    Recipe #122887

This recipe from Southern Living 1981 makes a wonderful side dish. It's even more delicious using fresh tomatoes from the garden.

    Recipe #122805

I love zucchini. I also love having lots of different ways to prepare it. This is a simple one.

    Recipe #122143

An excellent side dish to make right on the grill!

    Recipe #121542

These beans are very good and so easy. Slightly sweet with a hint of mustard. You can use butter or oil in place of bacon fat, but the bacon fat really makes it tasty.

    Recipe #121291

These are so yummy! The potatoes can be cut into large cubes instead of wedges.

I love this super-fast and easy side, which is adapted from Gourmet. It is also good with a little cumin added, and will handle a larger amount of spinach as well.

    Recipe #118681

This is the best way to use up garden cucumbers. Cook time is the chill time.

Tasty, easy and quick. Great to take along on a picnic or would be a nice addition to a salad buffet. I think this is best served at room temperature. -Adapted from Michael Chiarello of Food Network

My mom used to make this for us when we were kids and Dad was out of town. (He was a meat and potato guy). I've adjusted it a little to fit our taste. Cook time includes chill time.

    Recipe #113272

I substitute egg noodles for lasagna noodles to make this dish quick to make. I'm always asked to make it for picnics/parties. It goes a long way to feed a crowd since it is so rich. You can make it with or without the sauerkraut, or half and half like I do.

    Recipe #112861

I never liked green beans until I tried them this way. These beans are delicious and I have cooked them for my family several times.
