A green salad that at first sounds strange,or did to me, but I was surprised the first time I tasted it over 10 years ago. Since then, every time I've served it I've been asked for the recipe. All of the ingredients meld very well, surprisingly!
Everyone knows that when they come to a picnic of mine, there will be my famous Taco Salad. It's probably my most requested salad. It's best served within 24 hours of preparation. Feel free to omit things you don't care for. Also, add more or less dressing if desired. Number of servings is a guess. It makes A LOT! Prep time includes chopping and dicing time.
For years, I drove past the sign for "Clinkerdagger, Bickerstaff, and Pett" thinking it was an attorney office. Someone finally set me straight and introduced me to their spinach salad. This has been my preferred version ever since. We serve it with warm, buttered French bread to make a meal.
