I got this recipe from Las Casas restaurant in Temple, TX. They claim to be famous for these White Wings...I'd never heard of them til I moved to this area, but I will say the White Wings are outstanding!!
From America's Test Kitchen. This looks just wonderful. "To prepare the asparagus for this salad, we found that broiling concentrates the flavor of the asparagus and lightly caramelizes the peel. We prefer to use thin (under 5/8-inch) asparagus under the broiler-this lets us skip the peeling step and allows the spears to cook more evenly."
Simple dish as so many Portuguese recipes are, non the less interesting and tasty. Serve with plain cooked chicken, omelets or egg dishes. makes a good supper dish. This is an authentic recipe from the Alentejo region.
We love to grill these in the summer. The bacon adds flavor and moistness to the chicken and is just YUMMY!! NOTE: For some reason it will not let me add that you need 2 cans of unsweetened pineapple chunks, one 20 ounce can and one 8 ounce can. Sorry!!
This is a very flavorful salad dressing that is wonderful on fresh green salads. A little bit of it goes a long way, too. Use salt sparingly when seasoning, as you probably will not need much, if any at all.
This is delicious and great for dinner party...I prep the bacon ahead and cook this while friends watch excited to eat and loved that they saw me putting it together- they always leave with the recipe. Got this from my sister in law and never new it would taste so good.
A great grab'n'go breakfast muffin recipe born from the happy accident of getting maple syrup on your bacon after piling your brunch plate a little too full! (And yes, I'm speaking from experience!!) I often add more bacon than the recipe calls for and you can use whatever pancake syrup you like or have on hand.
