This is a fantastic clone for the store-bought marshmallow fluff and one I have used for years, it's easy to make and so much cheaper than the store-bought, I always use this instead of the real thing and it freezes well also, see note on bottom --- use this in any recipe calling for marshmallow fluff, I have also made this using dark corn syrup it is just a little darker in colour but it works just as well :)
After learning how good asparagus is for the body and how well it helps the kidneys. I thought this recipe was an excellent one. It is not cooked so the the asparagus is full of Vitamin A, Folic Acid. Did you know that asparagus has the largest percentage of RDA of folic acid then any other food source!! So eat up. This is excellent served as a dip or a spread. This recipe came from one of my favorite magazines: Organic Gardening
This recipe can be prepared in 45 minutes or less. Serve this tangy treat with biscuits, toast, or scones. Or use it as a dessert dip or spread between the layers of a cake. From Gourmet, 1999. Also, to be used with my recipe for Recipe #212709 or Recipe #46377!
This goes back a long time, and I still make it to serve with a turkey dinner. It is one of my favorite cranberry recipes, and is always enjoyed by everyone. Serve this at your holiday dinner table and you will receive rave reviews! You can make this up to a week in advance.... this has the perfect balance of sweet and tart with the the right texture! No need to double the recipe this makes close to 6 cups, plan ahead the sauce needs to chill for 24 hours before using and you may omit the walnuts if desired
My French friend came over for lunch recently & as we stood in the kitchen chatting & sampling the fine wine, I thought I'd impress her and whip up a homemade mayonnaise for the eggs! As I started my drop by drop method, she laughed and showed me this AMAZING way of making mayonnaise in a flash! The only criteria seemed to be the bowl, or lack of a bowl - she uses an old fashioned TALL glass measuring jug, which I also happen to have. Once you have made it this way, you will never go back to the drop by drop way ever again!
Here's Michelle's Mayonnaise!
I am not very skilled in the gravy department, so when I saw this in the local paper I thought it's worth a try. Well it will be how I make my turkey gravy from now on. Its very simple and quite tasty, and I can say I made it myself. It has a nice color and best of all NO LUMPS!
