I made this recipe up for my husband who loves roasted red peppers. You can roast your own peppers if you have a gas stove or you can broil or grill them. When you are short on time, the peppers in a jar work great.
This syrup makes plain pancakes or waffles into a gourmet treat. It's also wonderful drizzled on ice cream, cheesecake, or simple cakes. I've even put a spoonful into a glass of lemonade or club soda which makes a beautiful rosy, refreshing drink.
I don't even know where I got this recipe. It tastes wonderful on vanilla ice cream and is very easy to make. If you are concerned about using corn syrup this recipe works equally well using honey as a substitute.
This recipe is easy to make and tastes great. Amounts can be adjusted to suit individual tastes to make it more or less sweet and spicy. Black bean paste can be used in placed of the peanut butter. Goes well with chicken, pork, beef, wild game and dim sum.
My favorite red sauce! This is wonderful on so many things. Try it as an enchilada sauce, stir into leftover rice for a red rice side, mix with left over shredded roast or chicken, the possibilities are only limited by your imagination! Tangy and slightly spicy with a hint of sweetness. Enjoy this, experiment with it, change it, add to it and make it your own.
I couldn't find any recipes for real Worcestershire Sauce on Zaar, so after using this one from Saveur.com, I thought I should do all Zaar fans a favor and post it here. You do not want to be without this in your fridge! My family all agreed that this easy recipe beats Lea & Perrins by a mile when it comes to flavor!
This is the recipe I use to make recipe #15286. For an online tamale making tutorial, including pictures, please see http://www.recipezaar.com/bb/viewtopic.zsp?t=188623 posted in the Mexican cooking forum.
