This quick and easy microwave hollandaise sauce is absolutely wonderful served drizzled over Eggs Benedict Casserole recipe #121583 (I suggest making double the amount of sauce for the Eggs Benedict Casserole, as it's so yummy!), over asparagus spears or your favorite vegetables, or with seafood etc. Delicious! A delightfully easy microwave recipe that I am so happy to have discovered--from the newspaper.

These are some great tasting, finger-lickin' ribs! Boil 'em and then grill 'em (or you may finish them in the oven, if you prefer), then serve 'em with extra Q sauce for dipping. Simple and easy recipe, with NO heating up of the kitchen from a hot oven, which is an added bonus especially in the hot summertime. Recipe is from my Southern born and raised sis-in-law, Patricia Ellen. Thought I'd share with y'all, I hope you enjoy. Serve with some corn bread or buttered rolls, beans and slaw.

Creamy homemade alfredo sauce, fresh cheese ravioli and a luscious pumpkin-sage sauce combine for this quick and easy meal! Great served with a crisp green salad and a crusty baguette, -or- may be served as a starter. Notes: This dish from the Mantua region of Northern Italy is traditionally eaten on Christmas Eve. You can add a bit of fruit chutney, and sub pistachios for the pine nuts. Enjoy!

A classic! Authentic Königsberger Klopse are made from ground veal, beef, and pork, along with a small amount of anchovies (or sardines or herring), chopped onions, bread crumbs, eggs, and spices. The traditional creamy sauce that accompanies the dumplings are made from the broth in which the dumplings were cooked, flour, cream, white wine, lemon juice, and capers. Delicious! Serve with boiled new potatoes and my Rotkohl recipe #108449 #108449. Also makes a great appetizer! A little history: Predecessors of the Königsberger Klopse date back to the Middle Ages. However, the East Prussian name Klops (Klops = meat dumpling) didn't originate until the 18th century. Königsberger Klopse was invented in the city of Königsberg (then the capital of East Prussia; today known as Kaliningrad, Russia) around 200 years ago. My German/Polish/French grandmother was born and raised in East Prussia, about 30 kilometers from Königsberg. This recipe is my version of her delicious Königsberger Klopse, which she never wrote down but with the help of my mother I was finally able to replicate. I have many fond memories of enjoying this dish (which the women would prepare) at family gatherings, Sunday dinners, and special occasions such as birthdays and anniversaries. Still one of my top favorites!!! I hope your family enjoys, too. (Helpful Tips: These tender meatballs are braised NOT fried. If halving the meatball recipe, you will still need the full amount of stock for braising and for the gravy. The meatballs are somewhat delicate & time consuming to make; have someone help to form them into balls, it is much easier that way! For appetizers make them smaller and serve warm from the crock pot with toothpicks, buttered rolls and Potato Salad recipe #309891 #309891. Freezes well).

My husband Dan gets credit for creating this delicious marinade! Excellent with fish, also. Try it with a side of Spanish Rice recipe #120697 or my Royal Thai Rice recipe #114887 for a wonderful flavor combination. Recipe is easily halved. Note: Time does not include cooking the chicken.

A real family pleaser, and great comfort food. Great served with green beans and mashed potatoes, with extra catsup on the side. I usually double the recipe and make two loaves in order to have extra for meatloaf sandwiches the next day--yum!!! Recipe is from my mother who learned it from my Oma, growing up.

I just love this simple velvety smooth cheese sauce--it's so easy, cheesy and good! Yummy drizzled over cooked broccoli or cauliflower, or just about anything. Enjoy! Note: Measurements are approximate, use more or less to taste. As the cheese sauce cools, it will thicken; gently reheat to serve (you can whisk in a small amount of milk or water, if needed).

Lightly breaded jumbo diver sea-scallops, baked in a terrific lemon garlic butter sauce!!! One of my favorites. Delicious served with a crisp green salad and pasta or French bread, -or- may be served as an appetizer.

I like to serve this tender and delicious pan-seared steak for Valentine's Day or romantic occasions such as anniversaries and birthdays! Takes only 20 minutes, start to finish. Wonderful paired with my Alsatian Baked Potatoes or Gratin Dauphinois, steamed seasonal vegetables or a tossed green salad, and a simple dessert of fresh ripe berries & chantilly cream.

Awesome! If you love guacamole, try this lighter, more tangy version made with fresh green tomatillos and avocado! We really love this salsa verde. Serve with simple grilled foods like carne asada or fajitas, or with a bowl of tostadas chips. And, green sauce is great stirred in to scrambled eggs recipe #456108. From "Zarela's Veracruz: Mexico's Simplest Cuisine" by Zarela Martinez. Enjoy!

Ruby red, rich and spicy cranberry sauce with a bright citrus note. A sophisticated blend of flavors! Goes equally well with roast turkey, beef, or ham. Make a batch at T.G., and freeze half for X'mas. Delicious! Note: I reduce the sugar to 3/4 cup of each, and use a tablespoonful of orange zest in place of the strip as we really enjoy the orange flavor. No need to strain the syrup, just scoop out the whole spices. Adapted from Bon Appetit, November 2001.

Easy and good! Serve over salmon, seared fresh ahi tuna steaks, or fresh grilled fish of your choice. You can sub snipped fresh oregano or other favorite herbs for the dill, if you like. Recipe is easily doubled.

This luscious, lemony loaf cake goes together fast, travels well- you can pop it back in the loaf pan once it has cooled to protect it en route- and stays moist. No one will guess this moist, sweet cake with a bright citrus tang is low-fat and made entirely with whole-wheat flour. Feel free to double the recipe and freeze the second loaf for future take-along use. From the newspaper.

A romantic & delectable dinner for two! Serve vineyard-style with a crusty baguette for mopping the juices--you may want to double the sauce, it's so good. May be frozen, at the stuffed stage, which makes this a great make-ahead dish. I usually keep several on hand in the freezer. Note: You could easily sub cream cheese, feta or chevre cheese for the boursin, and add your own favorite fresh or dry herbs.

Calypso Island Chicken is highlighted by key seasonings of the West Indies: tomatoes and red peppers. West Indians often make a condiment out of hot peppers by steeping diced ones in vinegar. Tabasco sauce is the closest equivalent readily available in America and is used in this recipe. The dish also includes plantain, a cousin of the banana that is larger and not as sweet. Plantains must be cooked before eating, and only ripe fruit will have the proper texture for this dish. To select a ripe plantain, choose a finger that is deep yellow and speckled with black or one that is entirely black. If a green plantain is purchased, it may take several weeks to ripen at room temperature. Do not refrigerate the fruit, for this will halt ripening. From the newspaper.
