Ok, this recipe is inspired by a sandwich I'd eaten at Togo's sandwich shop. The toasted almonds in the salad really set it off! The measurements are approximated as i just throw everything together and add mayo little by little to taste. I HATE goopy salads, so I use just enough to cover the chicken, but not make it goopy.
If you've ever been to Cape Cod, you've almost certainly either seen or eaten at one of the many Box Lunch franchises in the area. This is my recreation of one of their famous "Rollwiches", scaled down to fit my smaller appetite. Feel free to make this in a larger tortilla and increase the other ingredients if you desire. If you add some slices of swiss cheese, this becomes a Priscilla Alden!
This is a recipe for a traditional French ‘submarine’ sandwich. It can be filled with a variety of fillings, but instead of butter or margarine, the bread is ‘bathed’ in olive oil. Pan Bagna should be moist, so it may not the sort of thing you want to eat in polite company! It is best made at least an hour in advance (the resting time is shown as "cooking time") which makes it ideal for filling your lunch box or taking on picnics. Posted for Zaar World Tour 2005.
This is a killer sandwich, great to make on football Sunday for the guys! Add in some Italian-style cold cuts if desired. Plan ahead, the basil/Parmesan mixture has to be prepared 8-24 hours in advance and chilled. Prep time does not include refrigeration time for the basil mixture.
A great brunch item! One of my husbands favorite filling, baked, french toast style, sandwiches filled with cheese, ham, turkey & mustard. Raspberry preserves is a must for him. Could be eaten for breakfast, lunch or dinner. This is a LESSER FAT Monte Cristo recipe being baked and not fried full of flavor! I also like to buy the low salt cold cuts or use fresh baked turkey leftovers sliced thin.
A great brown-bag sandwich that is easy to make and a delight to the taste buds. I package everything seperately. At work I heat the satay in the microwave, then assemble. Sure beats the heck out of boring pb&j.
I combined a few recipes that I really like...BLT's, ranch dressing and wraps. I'm sure you could add all kinds of stuff to make this your own. Bite into this, and you'll be transported to summertime...warm breezes...cool lemonade...birds singing in the trees...ENJOY!
Zesty and tangy! From "John Madden's Ultimate Tailgating"... this is a fabulous BBQ beef recipe for those Sunday or Monday Night Football parties, tailgating at the stadium, or just 'cause they're soooo good. Cook time doesn't include preparation of the roast.
