These are soooo good!!!! They are great for the big game day!! As a main dish I serve one per person. For appetizers, I slice each strombli into thirds. I sometimes leave out the bell peppers to make it a little more kid-friendly.
A french toast style sandwich that is baked so you can cook several at one time. It's a great idea for breakfast, and It's a pretty flexible recipe. You can use any kind of bread, add turkey and another layer of bread to make a triple decker, and even add mustard.
This is traditional English fare for tea. They are very dainty and quaint to eat if you are having a tea party. It makes you feel like a queen. Dry parsley or dry dill may be sprinkled on in place of the fresh parsley.
I had seen Ina Garten prepare this sandwich on one of her Barefoot Contessa episodes. It looked to die for, and when I finally had time to try it, my suspicions were confirmed. It is so flavorful and just down right yummy. She also prepared a Fresh Pea soup to pair with it, I can't wait to try that, too.
This is based on a sandwich I often get at a local restaurant. It is absolutely delicious as a panini!
In light of a review, I have adjusted the amount of cranberry sauce required from 6 tablespoons to 5. Please feel free to adjust this to taste.
You don't want to miss this one. The recipe came with my electricity bill, probably some 39 years ago. I tried it and it was the best recipe for Sloppy Joes I have ever had. I've been making it ever since. Great taste and just the right amount of everything.
These are just as good for breakfast as they are for supper! Mixing honey with the goat cheese mades it easy to spread on the cinnamon raisin bread. Adapted from Cooking Light magazine(June 2004). An African/Middle Eastern influenced recipe.
