If you love Asian peanut sauce, but want to cut down on calories, this recipe will do that. It's good as a dipping sauce for satays, or as a sauce over cold Asian noodles. I found this in the Weight Watchers Vegetarian cookbook.

    Recipe #191638

A lighter version of the clasic pesto. This recipe is great for all the beautiful, fresh basil available in the summer

    Recipe #63388

I like this a lot better than those recipes that call for pineapple juice. I got it from my Japanese Sensei at school. It's very nummy-yummy.

    Recipe #30970

This baba ganoush recipe is from Williams-Sonoma's Small Plates by Joanne Wier, published 1998

    Nice and easy garlic sauce.

    Recipe #85676

This is a great sauce that we like served with Waffles, Pancakes or French toast, or served over frozen yogurt, pudding or pound cake. Great on ice cream too! Delicious! Adapted from California Strawberries.

    Recipe #122067

I had a hard time finding a good teriyaki recipe, there are so many different kinds. I found this on the internet, it is a Hawaii style teriyaki, and has the taste I was looking for (grew up in Hawaii). This is very sweet, and thick, and I usually dilute it a little before using it.

    Recipe #67677

This is a wonderful lemon-flavored pesto. This was my first taste of pesto and I've never gone back! Update as of 2/13/04 I'm glad that you all like this. I freeze this now and keep it on hand for my spaghetti sauce or others sauces. It freezes great!

    Recipe #8650

BE SURE TO HAVE CRUSTY BREAD ON HAND TO DIP IN THE WONDERFUL GARLICY BUTTER SAUCE. QUICK AND EASY COMFORT FOOD AT ITS BEST.

    Recipe #52923

Have you ever ran out of the canned pizza sauce when you really needed it? This recipe is so good and easy you may never buy pizza sauce again. It is also great to use on cheese fries.

    Recipe #21202

This recipe was given to me in Japan by Okumurasan. I don't know where to find sake or mirin here (maybe an asian market?) Okumurasan told me to just use 4 tsp sugar instead, however it won't taste quite the same. Sake and Mirin are both Japanese wines, and they add a distinct, sweet taste to the sauce.

    Recipe #163426

Adapted from Martin Yan's Chinese Cooking for Dummies. This is my favorite stir-fry sauce. It makes enough for two meals. Having extra on hand makes for a quick meal. My son will actually eat vegetables he can dip in the sauce! WARNING about the amount of soy sauce. When I used Kikkoman soy sauce, I found this sauce far too salty. I now use Angostura, which is much lower in salt. When adding soy sauce, start with less than half the amount and slowly add more to taste. Using vegetable broth makes this vegetarian. Yield: 1 3/4 cups (couldn't get that amount entered)

After visiting Greece I tried many recipes for Tzatziki and just couldn't get that thick Greek yogurt consistency. This recipe from Cooking Light is just what I have been looking for!

    Recipe #88946

This sauce may be used with meatballs, ribs, chicken wings anything you desire, and may be doubled if desired but do increase the fresh garlic too much or the garlic flavor will be to strong, the chili flakes are only optional I like to add them in for some heat :)

An adopted recipe, Original Intro States: This Garlic Mayonnaise is typical of Catalonia and the Balearic Islands in Spain. It is usually served with bread as an appetizer. It can also be used to accompany grilled fish and meats.

    Recipe #54833

This is the best salsa recipe I've found so far and I've tried about a dozen. I got it from one of the local hospital cookbooks that are sold in my area. I changed it a bit and have been canning it for years. The reason I plant a garden is for this salsa. We would be lost without it. Hope you like it as much as we do. One of our members who is a food scientist took this salsa to work, tested the pH and found it measured under 4.0 (well within the safety limit for boiling water bath processing).

This is a full-flavored rich pizza sauce that I have been making for over 20 years, the longer you simmer this sauce the thicker and richer it will be --- this sauce freezes very well and even tastes better if made a day ahead and left in the fridge overnight to blend flavors --- also see my recipe#232188
