This is my own macaroni salad. I did not get it from my mother or my grandmother and I did not get it out of a book or off the internet. It is not Amish, Cajun, Mexican or any other description of the various macaroni salads that are posted on the internet. It is my own made up salad. It is designed after my own recipe #20155 that I have posted on Recipezaar (with 121 high reviews, thank you very much to those that have tried it). The dressing is mostly the same, but there are a few other ingredients in this salad that is not in my potato salad. I hope some of you will enjoy it as much as you did the other.
For large gatherings, I think this salad would go over great! This is one of the best tasting macaroni salads I have ever had! I know there are a lot of ingredients, but don't skimp. The flavor sensation is absolutely incredible!! I saw this on Food Network's 'Calling All Cooks', and got the recipe from the website. This recipe serves about 25 people.
NOTE: The ORIGINAL recipe calls for 1-2 Tbsps. garlic salt, and that's the way I entered the recipe. If you are salt sensitive, I suggest you use less. You can always add more.
My aunt got this recipe years and years ago from a recipe exchange train, and I so love this dish. It is absolutely delicious. It is great for almost anything from a side dish, a snack, potlucks, picnics, and so on.
Three-color pasta, cubed cheese, tuna, and roasted sweet peppers blend into a spunky salad that we enjoy over 2 suppers during hot summer days. This is an excellent salad that I've served with or without cashews since sometimes I forget those. Fresh basil is essential to this recipe and we just have some fancy fresh breads and butter with it. I don't recall which of my magazines I got this from but it's favorite of mine.
This is a pasta salad that is a big hit everywhere we take it. It was given to me by my mother-in-law - Kris. It is simple, but it has to be made the night before. You really can't go wrong with this one!
This salad is bursting with flavor. I'm not a fan of Italian dressing but I could honestly eat this night and day. I got this from Allrecipes.com and you will not be disappointed. Great for potlocks as it makes a lot. I'm asked to bring this to family get togethers and never bring any home.
My entire family loves this salad. I began making it lower carb after Dreamfield’s pasta came out and we could eat pasta again! My family likes these things (actually most things) without chunks of anything crunchy (onion, celery, peppers, etc) I usually make a big batch once a month on Sunday during the summer and it lasts a few days of eating it for lunches or even as a main dish for dinner or even some have eaten it for breakfast! Thanks to Zaar I can now post the recipe for them as I have actually measured the ingredients!
Especially well suited for summertime entertaining-- I like to prepare this creamy chilled seafood pasta salad in the morning, refrigerate, and serve to guests in the evening outside on the patio accompanied with a crusty baguette, butter, and a good bottle of white wine! Be sure to serve this salad well-chilled.
My favorite pasta salad that I serve all summer long! Lovely with grilled chicken, a crusty bread or rolls and a glass of chilled white wine. I hope you enjoy! Note: Do try to use real French cornichons, if you can get them, as they really make this dish extra special.
