Someone on Zaar said that CPK is not serving this salad anymore and wanted the recipe. I happen to have the recipe and I'm happy to post it here so these salad lovers can again have their 'fix.' This recipe serves 4 entree size servings or 8 side servings.

This dressing is much better than any store-bought. I'm not usually a Thousand Island type of person, but this is great on this salad, and on crab or shrimp Louis as well. I found this in Bon Appetit magazine, February 1998. Prep time does not include making hard-boiled egg.

This was served at our wedding and it was really delicious. I thought all spinach salads were pretty much the same until I tried this dressing.

I had a salad dressing similar to this from Panera Bread that was very good on a summery salad.

There is no cooking for this one but it does need 1 hour chilling time befor serving.

My mom gave me this recipe, noting that she heard it on a radio talk show. It tastes remarkably like the packaged kind and has been a favorite in our family for years.

My 13-going-on-35 year old son tasted this at a friend's house and actually ASKED me to make salad!! Can you imagine?? Me either. I immediately called the friend's mom and got this recipe. Hope it gets your teens to eat salad too.

An excellent creamy dressing, perfect for a veggie dip or a salad...of coarse all ingredients can be adjusted to suit taste.

Have you ever posted a recipe and just love reading the reviews for it? This is my signature potato salad. Whenever there is a pot luck function at work, I am TOLD that I have to bring the potato salad. No one else is allowed to and I am never given a choice. Thank you everyone who ever tried this potato salad and for leaving such glowing reviews for it. You all have made me look so good. I personally can not stand eggs or raw onions, so I leave them out but I know most people don't think a potato salad is complete without them. Thanks again for so many wonderful reviews. (psssst....check out my recipe #123107 as well. It shares the dressing with this recipe but tastes much much different because of the different ingredients) Please see Recipe #242966 for bacon bit tips.

This is the most delicious coleslaw that you will ever have! I make this for weddings, large socials and in the summer for BBQ's and parties, and there is never anything left it all goes and everyone wants the recipe --- plan ahead the coleslaw needs to be refrigerated for the stated time to blend the flavors, this coleslaw will intensify in flavor with chilling time --- this is not a thick heavy dressing like some other coleslaw recipes it's the perfect texture and flavor and what makes this coleslaw stand out from all others is the fresh lemon juice so please use only fresh I have used bottled in the past and it is just not the same --- the dressing amount will yield enough for two 16-ounce packages prepared coleslaw mix or 1 head of green cabbage --- for one 16-ounce package prepared coleslaw mix use the dressing amounts posted on bottom of recipe and add in 3 or more large of chopped green onions. I developed this dressing years ago, and I can honestly say that you won't be able to keep your spoon out of the fridge for a taste, it is *that* good! --- although I do think the dressing is better with the anchovy it can certainly be made without them. In a pinch I have even substituted buttermilk for the half and half cream, just use about the same amount --- this dressing gets stronger with refrigeration time so a small amount of fresh garlic goes a long way! ---- usually one recipe without doubling is perfect for one large romaine lettuce, if you are serving a large crowd of people you might want to double -- salad dressing will not work for this use *only* mayonnaise, I find Hellman's brand mayonnaise works the best and for the perfect companion to this salad see my recipe#125034-------------LOWER-FAT OPTION use reduced fat mayonnaise and fat-free half and half or low-fat milk --- also see my recipe#66596

My sister gave me this recipe and it is one of the best homemade dressing recipes I have made. The key ingredient is the celery seed.

Finally! I found out how to make a wonderful bleu cheese dressing at home. I've tried so many, with all kinds of ingredients, but none of them came out wonderful until this one! And it's so simple, anyone can make it and feel like a real gor-may type chef! I usually use light (not the non-fat)mayo and sour cream and it's incredibly rich.
