Made from boxed macaroni&cheese dinner. The cheese/macaroni mixture gives this a unique twist to typical macaroni salad. I've never made it from homemade cheese & macaroni, but I imagine it would work fine. Sometimes I use leftover macaroni & cheese dinner and adjust the rest of the ingredients accordingly. This is one of our quick and easy family favorites. Enjoy!!

    Recipe #131354

Adapted from Pingry Cooks, submitted by Dorothy Walters. I just got the cookbook from the library book sale and I am posting the recipes that interest me. Not sure how authentic this is but it sure sounds good. Overnight marination is best.

    Recipe #298264

Inspired by Jessica K's wonderful recipe (#136460). IMPORTANT NOTES: While I can buy tender arugula at Trader Joe's, I find that the supermarket dandelion leaves are all pretty tough, even the organic ones. So it would be better to pick some fresh young dandelion leaves from a lawn that is not chemically treated. Regarding amounts of ingredients for this salad: Normally I am pretty flexible when giving amounts for salads, but I will say this: when using bitter greens such as dandelion, or peppery/pungent greens such as arugula, make sure you have enough milder veggies (such as tomato, avocado, cuke, etc.) to counter the sharpness of those greens.

    Recipe #269005

This is a light, healthy, and refreshing salad! I found this gem in the Cook's Illustrated "The Best Light Recipe" book and I have made it many times since. Basically you are just chopping things up and throwing them together in a bowl so even the kids can help with this one. Very tasty, and excellent served over a bed of greens and herb garlic pita chips. I've tweaked it ever so slightly. This salad can be refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Season with additional lemon juice, salt, pepper, and oil as needed before serving. Very easy clean up, and your salad is ready in less than 20 minutes.

    Recipe #288539

A salad from Costa Rica, I found this recipe while search for recipes that use some of the odd ingredients that have collected in my pantry. The result is a light crisp salad which is refreshing and not at all heavy. Hearts of palm taste a bit like artichoke hearts but have a touch more crunch like a water chestnut.

    Recipe #224816

This is one of my creations that I served with Chicken and Veal Marsala, Fettuccini Alfredo, and Italian Garlic Bread for a dinner I had with company last winter... It was a perfect salad to serve with my special Italian dinner!

    Recipe #184195

A great variation to the original Cobb salad! From Home Basics magazine. You may also use chicken if you wish. Enjoy!

    Recipe #87605

This is a satisfying salad taken from The Complete Vegetarian by Pam Smith O'Hara, who writes a food column for the Miami Herald in Fla.

    Recipe #64074

I really like this salad for a change from traditional salads with greens. You could replace the feta with ricotta or chopped mozzarella, and the thyme with chopped basil, but I like it just as it is.

A great side dish! These ingredients are always on hand. If you want to stretch it add cooked pasta and more dressing and chill. The picture is with yellow bell peppers. I like the red peppers for a nicer contrast of colors.

    Recipe #51787

Makes a nice summer supper, though good any time. Chickpeas and garbanzo beans are the same thing. Preparation time does not include chilling time.

I've been trying lots of different types of coleslaws this summer. So when I saw this recipe in a weight loss magazine I knew it was one I would want to try. Plus, I just bought some rice vinegar and this will be a good way to use it! 1 cup is 1 WW point and this is a core recipe. Cook time is standing time.

    Recipe #174617

This is a recipe that I adopted in the Recipezaar recipe give-away of Feb 2005 and made only a couple minor changes. I like it. Preparation time does not include 30 minutes chilling time.

    Recipe #7032

A very tasty dish, the flavor of the tuna salad with the marinated green beans is one you just cant miss. Chilling in the refrigerator overnight is best but could be ready to serve in one to two hours.

    Recipe #127164

This is so goood! You can put this together and have your friends over and enjoy the party! I just love salads and the dressings are lovely! This came from Rachael Ray.

    Recipe #62958

The lemon and herb dressing perfectly polishes this 6 ingredient salad!

    Recipe #48457

Yup, another tuna macaroni salad. I really like this one, though. I always use mild curry powder to keep it "crowd-friendly". I've never made it with a hotter, spicer curry powder so I can't recommend it. Like most macaroni salads, you'll probably want to moisten it with some milk before serving.... especially the next day.

    Recipe #246389

Crisp veggies and chilled lentils give a colorful, crunchy, and nutritious summer salad.

A cold salad for a hot day. Perfect for picnics and barbeques.

Is your garden exploding? This will help. Got this from an old employer of mine. It is tasty and very unusual.
