I hope that you will enjoy this simple tasty salad as much as we have. The dressing is best served at room temperature.

    Recipe #243423

Bruschetta is one of my favourite entree/snacks. As soon as I seen the RSC #10 ingredients I instantly thought BRUSCHETTA. You can choose any type of white bread you like but it needs to be thick.

    Recipe #243333

Such an easy and an indulgent dessert! Baked apples with maple syrup, pecans, Calvados or brandy, served with a rich, creamy toffee fudge sauce. (You can also use apple juice if you wish.) These make an ideal dinner party dessert, as the can be put in the oven to bake, as everyone sits down for their appetisers or main course! If you really want to push the boat out - serve these with an extra dollop of cream or even some vanilla ice cream! These apples are better eaten warm, rather than hot - so let them rest for about 5 minutes before serving, ideally whilst you make the toffee sauce.

    Recipe #243318

Created for RSC#10. For more heat add more jalapeño peppers.

    Recipe #243383

Jalapeño peppers are one of the hotter peppers. In order to decrease the heat, scoop out the seeds, as they contain a lot more heat than the rest of the pepper. Also, this was originally a carrot and tomato soup, but unfortunately, that did not work out, so I tried it with the grape tomatoes and it worked out much better. This is easily refrigerated and reheatable.

For rsc 10, this is a lovely main dish incorporating contest ingredients, and is perfect for autumn. I used Granny Smith apples for their tartness, but you can use Gala, Jonathan, or any other cooking apples.

Maple covered pecans add crunch to this sweet and spicy dish. Make sure to dry the scallops before coating them and then flip these treasures from the sea frequently to avoid burning!

    Recipe #243398

Inspired by the flavors of India, this quick dinner contrasts the spiciness of mustard and curry powder with sweet fruity flavors of a warm relish that is akin to the finest chutneys. You can even make the relish ahead of time and reheat before serving. The spices in the paste are strong and designed to impart flavors in a short time. If you are planning a longer resting-marinading period, the results will be different. While this has been tested on an indoor grill, an outdoor BBQ should also work. (Created for RSC#10)

This is a quick easy appetizer for a hot summer day.

    Recipe #243266

Just imagine the wonderful taste of Sea Scallops made three different ways. Then placed on a bed of Creamy Spinach and sprinkled with grated carrots! This dish is pleasing to-the-eye and also not a very hard recipe to make either.

    Recipe #243384

Developed for RSC #10. This is an attractive way to serve a complete dinner in the style of today's restaurant dishes. Read it through so you're not put off by the list of ingredients, as it's easy to make and every component can wait in a warming oven, so you don't have to do it all at once. Serve this, and take a bow: you're a chef now!!!! The prep and cooking times are guesses, as it all depends on the individual cook.

    Recipe #243396

A little sweet, a little heat! This hearty salad makes a great summertime meal. Note: This recipe has been edited to correct my (blush) original omission of the carrot and celery! :)

    Recipe #243375

A salad chock full of chicken, vegetables and fruit certain to delight your taste buds. Cook once and serve twice by doubling up on the chicken and rice at one meal, and converting the leftovers into this dish.

    Recipe #243374

A cool, light, summer meal perfect for those days when its too hot to cook. But since the ingredients are available year round you can enjoy it anytime. It goes together fast but tastes like you slaved over it. ;) Creamy, zesty, and pretty on the plate. “Cooking” time is chilling time.

Classy enough for a dinner party but simple and quick enough for any occasion. Has an interesting contrast of hot versus cold and sweet & sour versus savory tastes. The salsa and vol-au-vents can be prepared in advance making it a quick one to pop in the oven as guests arrive. Please note the preparation time does not include the 30 minutes of refrigeration time for the salsa. The quantity of chicken and cheese will vary a little bit depending on the size of the cases, so fill them by eye using the directions rather than bothering to measure them out.

    Recipe #243264

This was inspired by RSC#10 ingredients. Making a drink seemed liked the hardest category so I took the challenge. I found another recipe that used barley in a drink and went from there. I also wanted to enter a Vegan recipe and succeeded with this. It was an adventure! Enjoy this healthy earthy delight.

Created for RSC #10. No, this is not some carrot-cake wannabe! Very different, this is a dessert whose flavours will surprise you.
