Savory and tender with a feather light texture. Great served with soup or as a sandwich. Can also be toasted. This recipe has become a favorite at our house. Recipe came from a Robin Hood cookbook

This recipe is from the Philippines. It makes the best rolls ever! They are wonderful fresh from the oven, with a little butter or some jam. They also freeze very well, so don't worry about any leftovers (if there are any!). Time to prepare the dough and rising time are not included. SOURCE: WWW.

This recipe has never failed me yet and when the Yorkshire pudding is ready, it is delicious.

I've been making this dough for about 15 years by memory & I just recently came across what I'm pretty sure was the original written recipe. Turns out my memory isn't as good as the dough I've been making is. So now I'm posting my often used & requested recipe before I forget it. I use it for basic dinner rolls, sweet rolls, cinnamon rolls, savory breakfast pinwheels or for my taco ring. I don't usually measure the flour, but the noted amount is within about 1/2 cup more or less. Prep time includes rising time.

There is a fantastic restaurant in Springfield, MO where they throw the most delicious rolls at you before, during and after your meal. This is a copy cat recipe of those exact rolls. If you get the chance, visit the restaurant. If not, try these rolls anyway. They are so very good!

i found this here and they sound pretty tasty and look pretty good, i love the idea of replacing the butter in the filling with applesauce. i hope i have time to try it sometime soon. the baking time looks awfully short though so that may need to change.

These golden, fluffy, butterfy rolls are great hot from the oven. The dough is very easy to shape. This recipe is from a QUICK COOKING magazine

I have tried many roll recipes and never been completely satisfied but this one finally fits the bill! It is easy, no complicated ingredients, and the rolls rise up to make very fluffy bread. Thanks go to my aunt Joyce in Nova Scotia for this one.

My favorite roll recipe. Makes excellent dinner rolls, or can be used to make cinnamon rolls.

What a hamburger bun should be. Substantial enough to handle a big burger with lots of toppings and yet have an excellent flavor all of its own. This is more like the kind of bun you'd get with a gourmet hamburger in a restaurant. If you are looking for one like grocery store buns, light and fluffy, these aren't what you are looking for. (And yes, it really does call for 1 cup of oil)

You will never want to buy hamburger buns again after trying this recipe. Easy to do using a bread machine and so awesome! You can also top rolls with sesame seeds after brushing with melted butter.

These tasty New England style rolls are perfect for making lobster, clam, and scallop rolls, and are sold only in New England. Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts Restaurants and Clam Shacks all up and down the coast use these delicious rolls with high sides, that you can butter and grill for the BEST "Roll" ever! They are also GREAT steamed for hot dogs and great on the grill toasted for dogs, sausages or brats. Rich in eggs and butter, this dough is soft and tender and does not require excessive kneading. It is easy to make by hand and even easier if you have an electric mixer with a dough hook. FYI: Keep in mind that you can shape these yourself and not use the pan, but they won't come out nearly as high on the sides or as uniform in shape as they are supposed to. You can buy a New England Hot Dog Roll Pan at: (This new pan makes 10 rolls) Preparation time includes time for the dough to rise.

Bolillos next to the Tortilla is a staple to Mexico. Nearly every villiage has a Bakery and every bakery makes Bolillos, Fabulous for breakfast with a little butter and fresh fruit. Bolillos go stale quickly and are at their best right from the oven . Great for any meal where you want a crisp roll

Mexican style putting in the option of cream cheese and jalapenos great stuff

These rolls are very soft and light. They make children and husbands very happy. My husband asked, "Can you make these ALL the time?"

Thank you to Inge for pointing out to me the error in this recipe; it is now updated! Sure, it's easier to buy a package of buns at the store. But these are delicious, with a fine texture and a taste that doesn't interfere with the burger or toppings (unlike those too-sweet buns you buy at the store). And they look gorgeous! (And sorry about the "1/2 egg" measurement; I just beat one egg and use only half of it.)

I love this recipe and the odd part is you use a yellow cake mix. Works wonderful.
