    Rice Cooker Recipes

Recipes that can be prepared in a rice cooker (regular on/off one or a fuzzy logic one). A fuzzy logic rice cooker is incredibly versatile! I also recommend the book The Ultimate Rice Cooker Cookbook : 250 No-Fail Recipes for Pilafs, Risottos, Polenta, Chilis, Soups, Porridges, Puddings and More, from Start to Finish in Your Rice Cooker by Beth Hensperger, Julie Kaufmann for many rice cooker recipes.

Make this only if you are a lover of curry, you can adjust the amount of curry to suit taste, if you prefer lots of heat then add in cayenne pepper. For this recipe make certain that the onions are browned, this will take about 15-20 minutes or a little longer. Chicken breast can use used in place of thighs, also you really can use as much chicken as desired, long-grain white rice can be used in place of basmati, but it will not be as good, I like to use mixed frozen diced veggies in place of the peas, but that is only optional. Use 2 cups less 2 tablespoons of water or if you prefer a very soft rice use 2 cups water. For the best flavor use a good-quality Indian curry powder.

    Recipe #211475

This is a yellow rice dish that my husband "created" in his mind. Of course, I had to make the culinary magic happen, but at least he contributed! A very good rice dish that can be served on the side, or as the main course.

This is my recipe for sushi rice. Makes quite a bit- will make 5 nori sheets worth (which makes 10 nori rolls the same size as you get from the sushi shop!). Aussie cup size (250ml) used.

    Recipe #175663

Do not attempt to adjust quantities except in multiples of 4 servings; it will not work correctly.

    Recipe #334988

This is a classic Gulf dish -- yum yum! I've adapted this recipe from a recipe booklet that came free with "Ship Madras Curry Powder" I made it the other day and my husband thought it was wonderful! Serve with a nice, colourful salad, otherwise it'll look a bit yellow yellow yellow! Next time I want to try putting whole king prawns on top to add a bit of colour!

    Recipe #89877

I came up with this last night when I was trying to figure out what to do with 1/2lb of shrimp. Turned out great and was easy!! What more do you need? I actually did this in my rice cooker, but could just as easily be done in a regular pot -

    Recipe #56317

Authentic Puerto Rican rice - great side dish, or serve with recipe #220415 and have as a main dish. When I serve it this way, I double the beans and top with shredded lettuce, tomato and avocado. You can substitute other meat for the sausage - ham, chicken or pork. Credit for this recipe goes to my good friend Michelle.

This is from wikicookbooks. I have never tried it but here for safe keeping. Pandora's Feast is a complete vegan meal that can be served several times a week due to the ease with which it can be modified. The meal is easy to prepare in a rice cooker.

    Recipe #225500

Another rice cooker recipe from open source wikicookbooks.

This recipe comes from The Ultimate Rice Cooker Cookbook. I recently tried this recipe with a Crockpot Chicken and it was wonderful. I hope you will love it too!

Everyone knows that Rice Cookers are convenient and save time, but did you know you can cook almost anything in them? Even Fried Rice. Try this simple, fast delicious recipe that will have you craving for more. I often make this dish for bbq's and it is ALWAYS a BIG HIT.

    Delicious Italian-style polenta in minutes

    Recipe #308271

This recipe is for a rice cooker. I hate to see an appliance go to waste because it will only do one thing (like cook rice only), so I made this up and the family loved it. I've made up several different recipes for that reason. I made up this recipe because I love my rice cooker but i hate to have appliances that only do one thing.

    Recipe #14060

This is a delicious rice recipe with such a wonderful flavour to it. I like this dish very much! : ) I couldn't find dashi stock so I used miso soup instead. And if you don't want to use fresh shrimp you can use precooked peeled shrimp. Just add them in the last minute of cooking to heat through.

    Recipe #166879

Easy and good. Kamameshi is rice with meat (usually chicken or seafood) and vegetable tidbits boiled, baked or steamed together in a small pot. This one is chicken, rice, and vegetables steamed together in a rice cooker and flavored with a rice wine/soy sauce.

    Recipe #203152

Rice cooked with chicken and vegetables using a rice cooker.

    Recipe #184989

This recipe was in my Kambrook rice cooker cookbook. Please note that the recipe is in metric cups (250ml) and not rice cooker cups.

    Recipe #194872

I LOVE shrimp. Rice too, actually. It doesn't hurt my stomach to eat either, depending on how they're prepared. BUT...this casserole, which I'm not a big fan of casseroles, is different. It's GOOD! and fancy enough for a dinner party. While it only serves 4, it's perfect for a small get-together of two couples. Serve with crusty bread and enjoy the praise you get from your guests!
