    OMG! My friend in Germany took my to a Thai restaurant that had lemonade with ginger and basil. I thought to myself "What a wacky combination!" So I decided to try it. OMG! OMG! The ground moved, the clouds parted and I heard angel voices singing in 4 part harmony. It was that good. This, is as close as I can come to replicate that glass of beverage perfection I found in Germany. I hope you enjoy this as much as I do. (The only thing that could make this more perfect is vodka.)

    No one who has red wine + white vinegar always on-hand should ever be buying commercially-prepared red wine vinegar. Using this 2-ingredient 1:3 ratio mixture w/a 1 min prep is ideal for recipes requiring red wine vinegar & can easily be doubled or tripled to get a larger volume than 1/4 cup as desired. It can also be infused w/garlic or other herbs as desired. I use this a lot & just today discovered to my surprise that this easy-fix copycat was not in the Zaar data base. *Enjoy* !

    I drink this when flying instead of alcohol. It helps to keep me hydrated. The recipe was given to me on a flight from Philly to LA by a flight attendant. I had upgraded to first class, so the flight attendants were great! This is also my drink of choice when I am trying to keep a clear head while everyone else is indulging in alcohol or if I am taking medication that doesn't mix with alcohol. It makes me feel like I am having a cocktai. Try it the next time you are the designated driver.

    This is an original recipe for a versatile spread that is great on sandwiches or smeared on a lettuce leaf for a quick veg wrap; equally easy to use as a dip for crackers and veg or thin down a bit and use as a "cream" accompaniment for baked tofu, fish, etc. Toss with pasta or rice for a fresh, protein rich, dairy free cream sauce. Would also be nice to dress potatoes for a potato salad... hmmm... the possibilities are endless! My version comes out light green and looks a lot like guacamole, tastes fresh and herby and has a creamy mouth feel. The miso and nutritional yeast add a nutty/cheesy depth that you notice but can't quite put your finger on... and the garlic adds a raw zip that is really nice if you like that kind of thing! I love, love, love that this is something I can make that has no added fats or oils. Hope you love it too! (12 servings = 2 Tbsp per serving)
