I got this out of a newspaper several years ago and have used it many times for family get-to-gethers. Don't leave anything out!

    Recipe #5418

My husband taught me this quick recipe. I don't know where he got the idea, but it's very delicious. Avocado and balsamic vinegar are the new Hollywood couple. Step aside mayo!

    Recipe #129862

Adapted from a recipe in the New York Times 5/19/09, which they adapted from Sasha Petraske. Ginger juice may be made by processing fresh ginger in a juice extractor, or purchased from a health food store or juice bar.

    Recipe #373401

Tangy ranch dressing enhances the flavor of the popcorn for a quick and delicous lite snack.

I don't remember which magazine I read this in (I was at the doctor's office) but we just tried it. The mosquitoes are swarming right now and my kids had tons of bites. They were in total desperation with the itching. I put a little on each bug bite, and they got relief almost instantly! Very easy.

OMG! My friend in Germany took my to a Thai restaurant that had lemonade with ginger and basil. I thought to myself "What a wacky combination!" So I decided to try it. OMG! OMG! The ground moved, the clouds parted and I heard angel voices singing in 4 part harmony. It was that good. This, is as close as I can come to replicate that glass of beverage perfection I found in Germany. I hope you enjoy this as much as I do. (The only thing that could make this more perfect is vodka.)

If you read my 'Zaar profile you know I'm pretty much into healthy stuff...BUT. When I've had a hard week, or am feelin' pitiful, I make myself one of these, pour a cold glass of milk, and (as we say down South) just "RARE BACK" and enjoy!

    Recipe #401117

No one who has red wine + white vinegar always on-hand should ever be buying commercially-prepared red wine vinegar. Using this 2-ingredient 1:3 ratio mixture w/a 1 min prep is ideal for recipes requiring red wine vinegar & can easily be doubled or tripled to get a larger volume than 1/4 cup as desired. It can also be infused w/garlic or other herbs as desired. I use this a lot & just today discovered to my surprise that this easy-fix copycat was not in the Zaar data base. *Enjoy* !

    Recipe #337211

This is my daughter Rose's favorite concoction to make to dip her french fries or chicken nuggets in. She loves it sooooo much that she wanted to share it with everyone on Recipezaar!

    Recipe #397572

I got this tip many years ago from my friend Anni and I use it every year now for my Thanksgiving turkey gravy. My kids say my gravy is the best there is, but I have Anni to thank for that..

    Recipe #266374

In my continuing fight with the scale, I have purchased a juicer. I find the straight carrot/celery mixture a little to hardcore for my taste (I'm trying to work up to it!), but a splash of spiced tomato juice makes it delicious!

I drink this when flying instead of alcohol. It helps to keep me hydrated. The recipe was given to me on a flight from Philly to LA by a flight attendant. I had upgraded to first class, so the flight attendants were great! This is also my drink of choice when I am trying to keep a clear head while everyone else is indulging in alcohol or if I am taking medication that doesn't mix with alcohol. It makes me feel like I am having a cocktai. Try it the next time you are the designated driver.

    Recipe #178371

My brother's favorite way to eat cottage cheese! He's been eating cottage cheese this special way for years. I promised him I'd post the recipe online so that our family's culinary history is recorded for all mankind. Here ya go, RamBo!

This is an original recipe for a versatile spread that is great on sandwiches or smeared on a lettuce leaf for a quick veg wrap; equally easy to use as a dip for crackers and veg or thin down a bit and use as a "cream" accompaniment for baked tofu, fish, etc. Toss with pasta or rice for a fresh, protein rich, dairy free cream sauce. Would also be nice to dress potatoes for a potato salad... hmmm... the possibilities are endless! My version comes out light green and looks a lot like guacamole, tastes fresh and herby and has a creamy mouth feel. The miso and nutritional yeast add a nutty/cheesy depth that you notice but can't quite put your finger on... and the garlic adds a raw zip that is really nice if you like that kind of thing! I love, love, love that this is something I can make that has no added fats or oils. Hope you love it too! (12 servings = 2 Tbsp per serving)

This is like lemonade-with a kick!Much more concentrated than other lemonades, and feistier ,this is a great way to ward off a cold .The lemon and cayenne contribute vitamin c ,while the honey soothes sore throats and contributes its own antibacterial properties. This is good warm too.Slightly modified from a health food cookbook.

Makes about 1 cup. It works best with salmon, swordfish and shrimp as a sauce. Also nice as a dip with raw veggies.

An aromatic blend of fragrant rose petals, lemon balm, and rosemary. This tea is wonderful served either hot, or chilled over ice. Use 1 teaspoon per cup. Makes a lovely gift presented in a china tea cup or tea tin tied with a pretty ribbon.
