This is my version of Houston's Restaurant delicious Veggie Burger. I use to go to the one off Westheimer and order one every week. Different waiters would tell me one ingredient at a time and this is what I came up with.

    Recipe #514517

This recipe was found on www.mynewroots.org. It was posted by Sarah Britton who got the recipe from a friend. I'm posting it here for safekeeping. This dense bread is high in protein and fiber; it's also gluten-free and vegan. SOME NOTES: Do not substitute the psyllium. If you have a nut allergy, replace nuts with seeds. If you use ground flax seeds you will need more water. You will also need more water if you use quinoa instead of oats. Use certified gluten-free oats if you have a gluten sensitivity. I just made this loaf; it was easy to put together. I'm not sure if it's the ingredients or I'm just not used to 'healthy' food. I didn't like it at room temperature (it is a little better refrigerated.) I tried to get all unsalted ingredients but was unsuccessful. I will probably omit the salt the next time I try it. the loaf had the saltiness of salt water. Thank you, Snowpea, for suggesting I add the parchment paper to the instructions.

    Recipe #512881

""I live about 1 hour from my favorite pizza joint so I decided to make my own sauce recipe for the days that I can't have the real thing. (Cause let's face it, NOTHING beats the real thing). After many attempts (10 full batches to be exact) at adjusting my recipe, this is what my taste buds came up with. I hope you will give it a try and enjoy it as much as my family and I do.""

    Recipe #512230

These are a Fieldhouse Kitchen favorite that make an appearance almost weekly alongside any main dish from beef to fish. These sprouts pack a flavorful punch with fresh lemony brightness and a spicy Sriracha kick. With just a few ingredients, you'll have a side dish that's perfect for a casual weeknight meal yet elegant enough to impress your dinner party guests.

    Recipe #512135

A most excellent recipe passed down from my grandmother and mother, a great treat all summer long. We make this whenever we BBQ. There are never any leftovers!

    Recipe #511690

5 out of 5 stars; soft chewy center- yummy

    Recipe #509610

The most flavorful polenta I've ever had! I like this with a veggie ragout on top.

    Recipe #509574

This dessert contains all the comforts of a warm, cinnamon-spiced slice of apple pie without the hassle of rolling out pastry dough. Plus it's essentially a slice of apple pie that can be eaten by hand. How can you go wrong with these sweet treats?

    Recipe #509264

My recipe for a homemade gravy that's exactly what the name says. Customize gravy for beef, poultry or pork main courses. Beef, poultry or pork fat are all preferable over butter, if you have them on hand.

    Recipe #505796

Mildly hot, addictive, medium peppers for Greek salads. It has been very difficult for me to resist eating these as fast as I put them up. They are the star of the year from my 2013 garden. I will pickle as many as I can, give very few away, and grow Pepperoncinis again next year!

    Recipe #505641

    This is from SpicySteve.com.

This recipe has a twin! Be sure to pair it with 'Roasted Tomato Bisque' for a double whammy in the comfort food department. The carmalized onions are perfect with the sharpness of the tomato soup and soft goodness of the cheeses used. A perfect pair if there ever was one! When cooking the onion be sure to let them get nice and brown to maximize flavor!

This recipe has a twin! French Onion Grilled Cheese- it should be a law that both of these are served together. This is far and away the best tomato soup you will have. I love tomato soup and I've experimented with many recipes, but this one simply takes the cake. Simple ingredients make a great, complex tasting, yet still 100% comforting soup. It is wonderful!! I must say to serve it with the French Onion Grilled Cheese sandwich. Two doses of comfort food that are a perfect pair! I also want to say that I normally shy away from cooking sherry- it really makes this dish so go ahead and use it!

    Recipe #505190

Thickly cut cauliflower slices, roasted, and topped with a tangy olive relish. Perfect side dish. Add beans to the relish for vegetarian meal.

    Recipe #505115

My recipe for a savory Asian-Hawaiian sauce I use with my Recipe #502044, and for meatball party appetizers.

An unsual omelette from Morocco, filled with black olives.

    Recipe #504185

Recipe discovered on delish.com. I fiddled with a few of the ingredients and the recipe was reduced by more than half.

    Recipe #504179

Found this recipe on About.com, under the Moroccan Food section, and I am posting for ZWT. Here is what is stated about the drink: "This drink is best well-chilled, so blend with a generous handful of ice. Optional powdered milk adds frothy creaminess."

    Recipe #503815

This recipe is from Vegetarian Times.. To speed up preparation, use pre-grated carrots, available in most supermarkets. You can make fresh breadcrumbs by trimming and discarding crusts from firm, fresh sandwich bread. Tear bread into pieces and whirl in a food processor or blender until crumbs form. One slice makes about 1/2 cup. The salsa can be made up to 2 days ahead and kept in the refrigerator.

    Recipe #503598

From the cookbook Onion Harvest Cookbook. Another cookbook given to me by a friend. For cook time, I'm including the cooking of the potatoes, because that has to be done concurrently, almost, with the onions.
