A most excellent recipe passed down from my grandmother and mother, a great treat all summer long. We make this whenever we BBQ. There are never any leftovers!

    Recipe #511690

    In ‘Williams-Sonoma: Picnics and Tailgates’

    Recipe #511667

Not too spicy and FULL of flavor. A collaborative recipe between two lovers. ;-)

    Recipe #476863

This is a chow.com recipe. I love kale and looking for more ways to serve it. This salad can be made up to 1 day in advance and stored in the refrigerator.

    Recipe #511543

This was one of my favorite things that my dad made growing up. This vegan version is pretty darn close to how tasty his were.

    Recipe #228734

I've seen garlic bread like this in restaurants before and loved it, so I had to make my own. This goes great with any kind of Italian dish, especially ones with lots of sauce so you can use the sticks to scoop some up.

    Recipe #244251

This recipe is from the Chicago Diner cook book. It's easy, tastes great and the mix makes up to 3 cups at least, so it lasts a long time. I love using this with their Tofu Loaf recipe as well as a brown sauce in Asian dishes, like Tofu Yung or my Pepper Fake recipe which you can find in my profile...just add more tamari to the finished product. The recipe for the spice mix is a bit different cause these are the only ingredients I had on hand.

    Recipe #244337

A lighter version of the original, great for holidays!

    Recipe #498290

From the Sobeys Inspiration Magazine, fall 2012. Modified somewhat to my tastes.

    Recipe #498291

First time I made it the odour when blending just about knocked me over! Something about the combo of wine and garlic and bread ... But the flavour is totally awesome! In fact my family complained that I didn't make enough!

    Recipe #439254

My friend Eliz is one of my fave cooks, this is her "dump job" recipe, lol!

Crisp and creamy, this winter slaw features all the classics of coleslaw -- but with a twist. Swap lettuce for kale and purple cabbage, then coat them in a zippy vinegar dressing.

    Recipe #511119

An easy, delicious, meat-free recipe that will please even the pickiest of palates. Great for those busy weekdays when you need dinner ready and waiting for you after soccer practice!

    Recipe #511076

We eat a lot of potatoes, and I was getting tired of the same old thing. This dish is positively delicious! The hot sauce gives it a nice zing without being overly spicy- but if you like your dishes hot, you can always add more!

    Recipe #381536

    Good to know.

    Recipe #452545

I love the combination of cranberries and walnuts so I was happy to find this recipe in an old Taste of Home recipe collection. Prep time does not include chill time.

Just because you don't eat meat doesn't mean you can't enjoy a delicious, rich, hearty gravy with your mashed potatoes. This is my own version that I've fine tuned over the years. Be sure to cook the onions and garlic until just before they brown to get as much flavour as possible. Browning them too much can make for a bitter, crunchy gravy and under cooking them will make the gravy bland. Vary the amount of liquid depending on how thick you want it. I prefer Knorr vegetable stock pots, and the Worcester sauce is optional. The measurements are approximate

    Recipe #510650

I love making my own mayonnaise. I made my first following Alton Brown's recipes from his show. The videos are posted on foodtv and are well worth watching if you are new to making your own mayonnaise. This is my latest variation. This is easy enough to do that I generally make my own whenever I know I'm going to want mayo for a few things. I only use store bought mayonnaise because it lasts forever in the fridge. Once you make your own mayonnaise, you won't want anything else.
