A nice potato to entertain with and is really very easy to make. Came off a blog site.

    Recipe #466236

I bought the book "Small-Batch Baking" and this was a recipe I tried this morning and loved!! It made 2 normal size biscuits and one about 1/2 the size. The author, Debby Maugans Nakos, states that this is similar to "Hardee's" biscuits. Mine turned out golden on the outside and tender in the inside and so quick and easy.

This is a great recipe for kids to help make - tasty! Recipe Source: Relish Mag

    Recipe #448099

The original recipe is old, very rich, and very high in fat/cholesterol. It was made with heavy cream. Although this adaption still is rich and not low fat by any means, it is lower than the original. I tried substituting something other than butter, but it just didn't give it the "right" taste. Please note the whipping cream is the stuff used to make homemade whipped cream. It is not the stuff in the tub or spray container.

    Recipe #439231

Yet again, another recipe I want to try that I found in my TOH magazine. It is a quick all in one pan meal!! Double or triple the recipe for larger gatherings. Here is what the auther stated “This quick and creamy Tater Tot bake is great comfort food, especially on a cold night.” —Donna Donhauser, Remsen, New York.

    Recipe #436341

I wanted a lighter cottage pie (cottage pie being made with beef and shepherd's with lamb) so I came up with this.

About a week ago I found a really good quality imported "extra mature farmhouse cheddar" cheese from the UK and decided to test it in this recipe which was recently featured on thekitchn.com. Use the best ingredients you can if at all possible: homemade bread and mayonnaise, etc. Q: I don't intend to step on any toes (especially British ones) but don't you think bacon/rashers would be delicious in this sandwich? A. yes. The bacon is optional of course. The husband discovered my secret stash of the farmhouse cheddar cheese and now most of it is gone! :/ Serving suggestion that we enjoyed with our sandwiches: Recipe #272915, hard boiled eggs and fresh fruit. I believe this is my first English recipe posted here but the fine English people have no cause for concern.

    Recipe #417292

I found this recipe in Taste of Home magazine. It's good, filling and easy to make. Leftovers are even better, especially when reheated in the oven. My favorite enchilada recipe...so far.

    Recipe #414607

The hardest part is seperating the cabbage leaves from the head but otherwise a tasty cabbage recipe for 2

    Recipe #409054

I found this in the 2003 Taste of Home Annual Recipes cookbook. It was sent to them by Norma Grogg of St. Louis, Missouri. Since I like a meatier chili, an extra 1/4 pound of ground beef was added. But even if the extra beef hadn't been added, I still think it would be enough for 4. After simmering, I did a " taste test " and added some crushed red pepper flakes for more heat. If you don't add the crushed red pepper, it's very mild. If desired add some cheese to each serving. Recipe #396014

I found the basic recipe in the 2007 Taste of Home Annual Recipes. It was sent in to them by Toni Martin of Byron Center, Michigan. But I added alot of different things, also changed the way that it was prepared and cooked. Submitted to " ZAAR " on October 21, 2009.

    Recipe #395882

Since I sometimes have to cook for just me, I've been on a search for recipes that make enough for just one or two people. So when I came across this one in the TOH 2002 Annual Recipes that was sent in to them by Edith Jennings of Prarie City, Iowa, I knew I had to try it.The time for peeling the potatoes has been included in the prep time. I guess if you wanted to speed up the time it takes to prepare this recipe, you could slightly cook the potatoes in the microwave or on the stove top. The addition of the French Fried Onions was my idea. Sumitted to " ZAAR " on October 21, 2009.

We rarely use or need hot fudge this makes just a 1/2 cup of hot fudge. *For creative flavors: Before cooking add some cinnamon. After cooking blend in instant coffee, flavored liqueurs, dark rum, brand, greated orange or lemon peel. *With Vatiation for Milk Chocolate Sauce and also for Hot Chocolate.

Great way to use leftover rice and bits of leftover meats.

    Recipe #392342

This recipe evolved because I could not afford (nor find) fresh crabmeat for a recipe I had pulled out of the paper. It sounds like a lot of ingredients, but comes together quickly. Hope you enjoy it!

    Recipe #388812

As a lark and a nice afternoon snack I decided to create this fruit smoothie as I wanted a non Caffeinated pick me up. *Note: No cooking time.

I had some leftover chorizo sausage and thought I would make a Spanish influenced breakfast for us. It's quite basic so you can add whatever else you want to it, but it is tasty as is. Enjoy!

    Recipe #372247

This is my favorite little vanilla pound cake. It's perfect for 2 people. It makes a great base for strawberry shortcakes! Top it with whipped cream and drizzle with chocolate... yum. I have done a bunch of diferent things with this perfect little cake. It has a wonderful texture and melts in your mouth. You can easily double this but don't double the baking soda, just leave it at 1/8 teaspoon.

    Recipe #369222

I adore this little lemon pound cake. It's the perfect size when you just need enough for 2 people. The bonus is... it's quick and easy to put together. I can have this in the oven in less then 5 minutes. How great is that?!? This doubles very nicely for when you need a little more but still don't need a big dessert. When doubling, don't double the baking soda, just leave it at 1/8 teaspoon.

    Recipe #369159

This is amazingly good! It's perfect for a special occasion (like Valentine's Day) or when you just have to have something sweet and yummy in a hurry. There's no baking or complicated stuff so you can literally put this on the table within a few minutes. I top mine with strawberry topping but you can use any flavor you like. It can be made with sugar, splenda or even stevia. You can used regular or reduced fat cream cheese. I use reduced and splenda. It will actually serve up to 4 adults if you really want to share it.
