Simple and quick rendition of one of my favorite Chinese foods. It is so versitile too. My husband loves it!!

    Recipe #198149

This is one of my favorite recipe inventions. It is easy to make and I like to eat it with ham, so I often have it for Christmas dinner.

    Recipe #265925

The first dish DH ever made for me! I absolutely LOVE this stuff!! Easy to make and WAY less expensive than carry-out!! We finally made it and measured everything! Hope you try it, it's really good!

    Recipe #128634

This is great for a weeknight meal. It's quick and easy and very hearty!! I got this out of Quick Cooking magazine.

    Recipe #130776

This is like a super simple homemade version of Hamburger Helper. I used to make it often when I was still married...I need to dust it off and make it again. You can use any flavor, we think the oriental makes the best flavor combo. You can also use any ground meat.

    Recipe #258455

    Cheap, yummy, tummy-filling comfort food.

    Recipe #257963

"Rely on Ramen noodles to stretch this appealing stir-fry. You can use whatever vegetables you happen to have on hand."

    Recipe #255586

Posted in response to the January topic of the month. This is simple and is very easy to adapt to personal tastes. Inexpensive for college kids or if finances are just running low.

    Recipe #152921

My fave Chinese restaurant has the BEST lo mein I ever put across my lips. It's simple, cheap, and very filling if you need that kinda dish. This can be made for literally pennies and everyone will appreciate this because it can be dressed up or dressed down. Cook and prep times approximate.

    Recipe #137287

So this isn't exactly what I would call a recipe, just a few little add-ins so it isn't just plain old Ramen; also good for using up leftover meat.

    Recipe #238845

Ramen noodles are great! They taste good, are quick to fix, inexpensive, nutritious, filling, and go well with almost any other food. The only thing wrong with them is the 'flavor pack'. Each package of Ramen is two servings so each of the two servings contains 800 mg of sodium. That's 33% of what even optimists say is allowable. Enter one of my heros, Ron Konzak ('The Book of Ramen', where I shamelessy stole this recipe.) Give this broth mix a try, you'll never use another 'flavor pack'. If you're like Me you will feel a bit guilty about dumping the unused 'flavor packs' in the landfill but it's better than eating the stuff.

    Recipe #241754

This is an easy casserole and very quick to make. This recipe can easily be increased for a last minute get together. Add a salad and you have a great dinner.

    Recipe #241498

This is a very popular recipe with my family of sisters and their kids. Both my sisters claim this recipe as "theirs." ;) Good for breakfast or even dinner. I’ve heard that a lot of college kids and bachelors like this one, too. It tastes great, but since it’s full of butter, noodles, and cheese it’s not something I make often.

    Recipe #239934

A make ahead salad for a hot summer night. Cooking time is the refrigeration time.

    Recipe #237863

Ah, Ramen noodles. Saviors of the dorm room and late night munchies. My Filipina friend actually taught me this one and I love it!!

    Recipe #235736

This was a quick and easy lunch while I was attending college. My good friend, Miyuki said that she used to make this when she lived in Japan. It brings back fond memories.

    Recipe #235098

This is a wonderful lunch dish from Naomi Kijima's book Bento Boxes. I am not putting a "passive" cooking time, because you are stir frying or chopping during all the cooking periods. There is no "passive" time. :) I used 1 chicken breast for 3 servings. Picky DD would have loved it if I had managed to not get ANY bell pepper in hers - I did omit the flakes for her.

    Recipe #233504

Yeah, I agree, weird. But this is really good! Build this taco just as you would any other taco and you will see how good this is. Our family loves Ramen noodles and we like to switch up the ordinary and see what we can come up with. Tonight, we concocted a winner in our opinion. Enjoy!!

    Recipe #233836

This is a excellent dish for college students, or bachelors (very easy & very inexpensive).

    Recipe #2066

I can't believe I like this dish as much as I do. I was surprised. This is a variation of a rather bland scrambled egg mix that I found on the net but turning it onto an egg foo yung is really special. Add your own favorite things but this is a good start. If you add water chestnuts, ham, shrimp, pork, whatever- then you will have to adjust the cooking time. This is a basic recipe- make it your own. But an easy recipe to amend- as soon as the egg is set- then it is done! I really love this and it is so good for a family on a budget or a bachelor short on time. If you want a terrific egg foo yung sauce then try this one Recipe#45270 .
