I like this recipe on a Sunday morning, it makes a good vegetarian alternative to a full english breakfast. It's loosely based on one of my grandmothers recipes and should ideally be served with fresh crusty bread to soak up the mushroom and milk juices.

    Recipe #62740

From Brit Spice by Manju Malhi my favourite Indian/British cook. This recipe turns an ordinary snack into something really tasty and satisfying, and makes you want more curry for dinner!!

    Recipe #189619

I've gotten 8 year old boys to eat this and ask for seconds. They never knew they were eating broccoli and I didn't tell them. I adore this dish. Normally I cook with olive oil but the butter in this sauce should not be substituted. It will serve 4 as a side dish or 2 as a main course. The original recipe comes from Rozanne Gold, a favorite cookbook author.

    Recipe #77482

This is always a hit with my family. I serve it with fluffy rice and a simple green salad.

    Recipe #11902

I can't believe I like this dish as much as I do. I was surprised. This is a variation of a rather bland scrambled egg mix that I found on the net but turning it onto an egg foo yung is really special. Add your own favorite things but this is a good start. If you add water chestnuts, ham, shrimp, pork, whatever- then you will have to adjust the cooking time. This is a basic recipe- make it your own. But an easy recipe to amend- as soon as the egg is set- then it is done! I really love this and it is so good for a family on a budget or a bachelor short on time. If you want a terrific egg foo yung sauce then try this one Recipe#45270 .

    Recipe #133513

Traditional chapatis are made every day in India and contain only two ingredients, the flour and the water. This makes them very simple to make and very healthy too.

    Recipe #185458

This is a quick recipe. The mushrooms can be chopped if desired. For a creamier soup, garnish with sour cream.

    Recipe #145807

A really special friend shared this recipe with me several years ago. It was his trick for dressing up those inexpensive noodles for his kids, and I think it is very good. This is great on its own as a quick meal, but can be an easy side for many dishes. We prefer the chicken or beef flavored noodles for this.

    Recipe #133448

I make no apologies for the apparent simpleness of this. It make a quick easy brunch or light lunch. Serve with a dressed green salad. Cranberry jelly and mango chutney also work very well as variations.

    Recipe #183471

One of my quick and easy meals. I used to buy creamed mushrooms in a can, but the preservatives make me ill so I backwards engineered this version. I love it on jacket spuds, hot granary toast (with lashings of butter), on rice and mixed with pasta.

    Recipe #182216

Great meal, easy to make, Low GI, vegan keeps well (tastes better the next day)Extra can be frozen for upto one month. quite often I forget to put in the lemon juice and herbs and it still tastes great!

    Recipe #171418

    Really easy and really good.
