This is soooo nummmmy!! for lemon lovers. Very good warm or cold. (have been making this for years and cannot remember where it came from, probably from my Mom.)

    Recipe #38953

I got this recipe out of a church cookbook many years ago. It is a simple and delicious pumpkin bread. My daughter who hates coconut loves this bread. It is so moist and tasty that it really does melt in your mouth.

    Recipe #14187

I used to make this for a Bread and Breakfast Inn in Highlands, N.C. This is a variation on my Sour Cream Banana Bread, which turned out to be a duplicate recipe here on Zaar. So, in loving memory of my dear banana bread, here is one of the variations! You will love this! You may use flavored yogurt to kick this up a notch! Try vanilla! This also makes a great gift!

My mother has made this pumpkin bread recipe each year around Thanksgiving since I was a little girl. I often make loaves and give as gifts to friends and teachers. This bread is very moist and dense with a lovely spiced pumpkin flavor.

This is my husband's very favorite quick bread I make, a great holiday gift, and is my most-requested at parties, especially around the holidays. It originally came from the Betty Crocker Cookbook, but I usually omit the nuts (although I love pecans with the cranberries) and have added a glaze onto it, which really seemed to give it that extra little zing. When I serve it for parties or brunches, I slice it, then cut the slices in half top to bottom; people seem satified with the smaller pieces (though they often go back for more!) and it serves more that way. I always try to keep a bag of cranberries in the freezer for just this recipe.

Found in a TOH magazine and clipped out to try! Boy was I ever glad I did. A lemony loaf of bread with the extra zip of dried cranberries. I've made this as a regular sized loaf and also in mini loaf sizes for gifts. I have also used walnuts and almonds in this bread and actually prefer the almonds - but use whatever nut you love. The addition of the lemon glaze just takes this bread over the top. *** Edited 11/19/09 - This recipe makes TWO 9x5x3" pans instead of one. Sorry for my error! If you want just one loaf just halve the recipe and it will work perfectly! ***

Archive from my Mothers recipes! Just sharing! Please try. I am not sure on servings and prep time.

This recipe was in one of those mailer flyers. I haven't tried it yet but know that if I don't post it I will loose it. I sounds very good. When I bake it I am going to try using Splenda for 1/2 the sugar. Will update let you know how it goes.

Wonderful lemon flavored bread. Easy to make.

I got a new stand mixer for Christmas and I just had to use it! I modified an old banana bread recipe to make it more "festive" and this is what I got! There is not as much banana flavour as typical banana bread but it's there! Also, skip the rum if you want to. I didn't list specific stand mixer instructions, but I did use it on medium to do the mixing. I hope you like it. Enjoy!

This is another holiday treat, good with coffee, tea or hot cider. It can be frozen with excellent results. If you are tempted to slice it straight from the freezer, please be sure to defrost it before you eat it.

With the right technique, your beer bread will rise high and be moist and flavorful. The bonus is that it takes only 10 minutes to prepare beer bread, making it the perfect recipe for beginner cooks! I've posted two variations that will give your bread additional flavor, although you can make it with the first four ingredients and you will be back to "normal" beer bread, which is still wonderful!

    Recipe #229170

Simple and satisfying! This cheesy bread pairs well with soup or salad, and reheats well.

This is a delicious flavorful quick-bread that was one of the first things I made when I started baking. Yummy! (Note: I made it without the nuts and it came out just fine).

    Recipe #124523

The original of this recipe comes from the 2008 cookbook, Taste of Home Baking Classics.

I found this recipe in the November 1995 issue of Bon Appetit. It is a moist, sweet cornbread that makes a nice accompaniment to breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It is also delicious right out of the oven slathered in butter. You can prepare it a day ahead, just cool the bread completely, cover with foil and store at room temperature. This also makes yummy muffins.

    Recipe #235809

I found the basic recipe in a magazine and 'tweaked' it with a few other things to suit my tastes.

This is the last recipe you will ever need for DATE NUT BREAD. Better than the very expensive store purchased loaves. Great with cream cheese. Very impressive served at a brunch or as a snack, my kids even like it for lunch.

    Recipe #88402

Old-fashioned batter bread recipe that's quick & super, warm from the oven.

    Recipe #20677

This is a great accompaniment with salad for a nice lunch with your friends. It's also great with a bowl of heartwarming soup. It is so easy and looks impressive they will think you went out of your way and then they will ask for the recipe! This was found originally out of the Best of Bridge.
