I found this recipe in a dessert cookbook that only includes recipes with 5 ingredients or less that can be made in 10 minutes. I haven't made this yet, but I never keep chocolate pudding in the house and figure it will come in handy one of these days. Since I'm trying to cook more from scratch and avoiding packaged goods with ingredients that I can't pronounce, this one seems like a keeper.

We like this better than pumpkin pie. And it's healthier without the crust!

Delicious rice pudding made all in one pot!

Recipe #454975

It's perfect if you are craving rice pudding and have no milk or eggs. I love this, rich and flavorful but it's best if you eat it on the first day.

A family favorite. We pick fresh strawberries and love to make and eat this dessert. This is just as good with fresh raspberries. In a pinch frozen berries can also be used.

No leftovers here, just right for the two of you. Creamy chocolate pudding with whipped cream and pecans.

Sorry but I don't know who Marguerite was !

This is a simple, homemade delight for kids young and old. Why buy a box mix when there are just 3 simple steps to a great pudding. If you aren't dieting, by all means splurge and use whole milk. If you are dieting, eliminate the butter and use skim milk. My children have this at least once a week.

Recipe #90012

This came from the milk calendar. Make sure you use short grain rice for this recipe to get a creamy pudding. The long grain rice won't cook properly and the pudding won't thicken. The apples and cinnanmon are a nice change from plain rice pudding.

Nice quick easy recipe to make and a great way to use left over boiled/steamed rice. NOTE - I recently broke the dish I normally cook this rice custard in and the one I use now though the same size is deeper with a small surface area and it now takes about 55 minutes to cook through.

A nice change from plain rice pudding. Next time you make plain steamed rice, make extra to use in this recipe. Cook time includes chilling time.

Recipe #386673

Fast, easy and a kid pleaser. Can be made the day before and chilled overnight so it's great for dinner parties, too. Very impressive looking if you have a trifle dish or tall glass bowl.

Based on a recipe from Beatrice Ojakangas' cookbook, The Finnish Cookbook. If I said that I love this recipe, it may be my taste buds, heavily influenced by the Finnish-American culture in which I grew up! To me and my visiting brother, this is divine! As an added bonus, my brother researched foods that help one with quality sleep, and this is among them! :) Will my DH eat this -- not on his life! He did taste it though, so he knows what he's missing! NOTE: In its introduction, Beatrice explains, "At Christmastime, a blanched almond is often pressed into this pudding before it is served, and it is said that the person who gets it will have good luck during the following year."

This is my Grandmothers recipe and it is so very good. I don't know where she got the recipe. I wanted to post this so others could enjoy too. Cooking and prep times are approximate. I have not made this lately. Yummy comfort food. Enjoy!!

Haven't tried this recipe yet.

From Good Housekeeping triple-tested at the Good Housekeeping Research Institute "Here, low-fat milk replaces whole milk and 2 egg whites stand in for 2 whole eggs, yet the custard is still velvety smooth and tastes as good as the higher-fat original."
