Ex: rice/pasta/breads (duh!), Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce (anchovy paste sometimes works well as a substitute for this and oyster sauce, especially in marinades), flour (can use almond flour, if desired), cornstarch (can use arrowroot powder, if desired), replace chicken breasts with chicken thighs, replace ground turkey with ground pork or beef, use coconut oil in place of other oils, etc.
Some recipes call for lower-fat items; replace with full fat. All recipes with sugar or honey I've had very good luck using only half the amount called for.
