This is the best chili recipe I have ever tried. I'm not sure where the recipe originated, but it is amazing! Sometimes, I don't bother adding all four cans of the kidney beans and it still turns out wonderful. Once anyone tastes this chili, they will be begging for the recipe!! Enjoy!

This came from a magazine, but I couldn't tell you if it was BHG or WD or another. All I can tell you is you won't have any leftovers.

    Recipe #338467

This uses a 5 quart slow cooker and is fast and easy.

    Recipe #275958

This is a very easy and wholesome recipe that I adapted from hillbillyhousewife.com. It is extremely economical and filling, as well as being healthy. I serve this with a small green side salad and a loaf of fresh or garlic bread.

This is a prize winning recipe in Cook's Country magazine (slightly modified). It is a delicious chowder with a twist...it has corn muffin mix as a thickening agent. The sweet potatoes also add something a little different from the usual chowder. An added bonus is that it goes together fairly quickly. This received rave reviews from my weekly soup night gang. Try this chowder--your tummy will thank you.

I got this recipe from a website for which I've long since lost the address. I wish I could credit the author, because this is truly an amazing soup! I'd recommend not skipping the avocados--they are what puts it over the top, in my opinion.

I love chili, and every chili recipe is a little different. I also love different beans and a lot of veggies in my chili. I love this chili over rice, on nachos, hot dogs or just by itself. This chili taste even better the next day!

This is a lower fat alternative to chili. It is nicely seasoned, tastes great on a cold winter day and freezes well. This makes a delicious meal served with cornbread or crusty rolls. As this makes quite a bit, I usually put it into 2-quart containers, cool and freeze. The night before I am going to serve it, I put it in the refrigerator and allow it to defrost. Then heat and enjoy!

This recipe has been lost for years and I have just found it, my Dad was the cook in the family growing up and my sister and I always loved this simple and delicious stew. Very kid friendly and flexible. Would be great for OAMC( you could use frozen meatballs)and could be adapted to a crockpot, would double or triple easily. Enjoy

I love this recipe, friends crave it, some have me over once a month just to cook this ( :P ) and my husband who doesn't eat soup and wouldn't even try lentils ate it up in seconds! I do love this, as its great tasting and well worth the effort! This is seriously something you must try! Its something I have perfected over the years, so my measurement are guesstimates but they are pretty spot on! This is one of those recipes that takes an afternoon to cook and tastes even better the next day, but this makes a lot of soup and it freezes so well its worth it! This is a thick soup so could be served as a meal!If you absolutely need to add meat, I cook a generous amount of thinly sliced prosciutto and serve on top of soup under the shredded Parmesan.

This is VERY easy and tasty soup. It certainly is a staple for our family. My kids love it.

This couldn't been cheaper or easier to make! It's a family recipe from a cousin on the Italian side. My family loves this so much, you would think I was serving prime rib the way they carry on when I make it! Try to use the cheese rind if you can; it really adds a lot of depth and flavor.

Soups are my very favorite thing to cook! Many great soup recipes have been collected over the 57 years I've been cooking.....and this is one of the best. It is easy and the catsup gives it a unique taste that everyone, kids especially, seem to really like. The recipe came from a daughter, who is a great cook.....Sarahloves2cook.

Found this on the internet while looking for recipes from Holland. Using cider as the liquid in this stew makes it quite different from many of the chicken and sweet potato stews found here on Recipezaar. While not an authentic addition, I like to add a bit of ginger to this as a peppery contrast to the sweetness of the cider and sweet potatoes.

Nice stew with a tossed green salad and sourdough bread.
