Clipped from a newspaper food section, but I don't remember which one anymore. The sweet potato topping caught my eye, and I thought it might be good to make. Posted here so I wouldn't lose the recipe.

    Recipe #408685

I've recently started to like the taste of sweet potatoes, and this is one dish that got me hooked. It is from Taste of Home.

    Great tasting oven fries.

    Recipe #149748

Sprinkle on more cheese as soon as the muffins are pulled from the oven so it can melt. Feel free to get creative and add French fried onions or diced tomatoes, etc. to this recipe.

    Recipe #249190

Another of my family's favorite recipes from Quick Cooking

    Recipe #262103

This has been a holiday tradition and special occasion dish in our home and with our friends...I usually serve them with baked ham, but when the meal calls for mashed potatoes, and you want to give your family a treat, I suggest you try these! YUM!

    Recipe #37465

This is a great side dish with steak, chicken or burgers. Not for the those looking for low-fat recipes. Just so yummy like potato skins appetizers.

    Recipe #222264

Adapted from the DesBarres Manor Inn in Guysborough, Nova Scotia, this is a great side dish!

I make moussaka with eggplant, but my husband tells me this is his favorite. I cut the recipe out of a magazine about 15 years ago.

Try this tasty way to "dressup" ordinary mashed potatoes & add flavour zip to what you see as a plain meal. It was suggested as a side-dish by the National Pork Producers Council & I esp like it w/skillet browned smoked pork chops. Enjoy!

WOW! These are soooo good and they look so fancy! A bit more work than traditional potato recipes but they look amazing! The original recipe called for 1/2 cup melted butter - but I used about 1/4 cup.

    Recipe #193831

This is a delicious adaption from the Junior League of Houston "Stop and Smell the Rosemary." My family likes this as-is but you could add some minced onion and parsley.

    Recipe #54362

Nice side dish with meatloaf or hamburgers.

    Recipe #159179

Rich, creamy, tangy, yummy. These mashed potatoes have it all.

    Recipe #61148

I found this recipe in an old spiral bound cookbook I picked up at a garage sale.

    Recipe #172068

Champ,a mixture of mashed potatoes and scallions that is sometimes called poundies, is served with a mound of melted butter in the center. Traditionally, it's eaten with a spoon, starting from the outside of the mound and dipping each spoonful into the butter. In the old days, the tool used for mashing the potatoes was a pestle-shaped instrument called a "beetle," thus the old Irish poem There was an old woman who lived in a lamp; she had no room to beetle her champ. She's up'd with her beetle and broke the lamp, and now she has room to beetle her champ.

I have found a new love... blue cheese! I have been trying to find new ways to use it in recipes. Today I was watching hot of the grill with Bobby Flay and he made these beautiful cakes. Panko bread crumbs are Japanese bread crumbs. They help give a light crust to the cakes. This recipe is a great way to use leftover mashed potatoes! Hope you enjoy them!

    Light, low-fat, and delicious

    Recipe #15250

This is sort of a variation on the twice baked potatoe. You can use any shredded cheese, I like a cheddar blend, but taco cheese or monterey jack works well also. Use more or less cheese/bacon, according to your family's taste. Turkey bacon works too.
