this is an old standby; great for those sudden evenings with friends. I've been doing this one since I was a wee baern and always manages to excite people. the flavors are simple and clear, and if steamed the skins pop so wonderfully. the lemon is best when mixed to white wines and can be sub'ed with an equal portion of marsala to mix with big reds, or grand marinier for lighter reds

This is a very simple recipe. I still thought about posting this because, the base of this recipe ( point where you add peas and potatoes)can be used to cook almost any vegetable curry - potatoes, spinach, cauliflower, capsicum , mushrooms etc. Another variation of this recipe is to use tomato puree instead of chopped tomatoes

My mom has the amazing ability to turn the mundane into something awesome. Never fail, one of my 5 brothers or sisters would ask for this every night. Simple, Tasty, Attractive and goes with just about anything. You can adjust the amounts to your liking as potatoes come in all sizes. Southern all the way!

    Recipe #118784

Growing up, my parents used to have dinner parties two or three times a year. One regular attendee, Monsignor Nolan, was a gourmand and, on more than one occasion, would don my mother's apron and cook his version of Potatoes O'Brien in her kitchen! One of my younger brothers couldn't pronounce the word "monsignor," and "monsidene" was as close as he got! So we dubbed these "Potatoes Monsidene." The bacon fat and fresh parsley really give this dish a great flavor!

    Recipe #97375

This is the most delicious Indian dish I have made at home yet. This is basically the vegetarian version of butter chicken, only even better! It's so flavorful, very simple, and tastes surprisingly authentic! I found it on Allrecipes.com, where it was posted by Sushi0306. It's great served over rice.
