I never thought there was anything special about my original recipe, but I kept getting raves from family and friends whenever I would make them. I'd never even written down the recipe until recently, when my neighbor wanted to make them. I hope you like them, too :-)

This is a Bruschetta with a change of pace from the everyday. It really is worth making. You can prepare the mushrooms and tomato relish ahead of time and reheat the mushrooms just before serving.

These are absolutely the chewiest, moistest, fudgiest brownies ever! I have tried adding so many different things to the batter, and they ALWAYS comes out great. They are also great without ANY add-ins! BUT by varying the add-ins, you can make different brownies every week (or day!!) SUPER EASY PREP! So, add "whatever floats your boat" and you will not believe how yummy they come out :) Oh, and the recipe doubles just fine--use a 9 x 13 inch pan instead and add a few more minutes of baking!

This sandwich is great with gooey cheese and juicy, meaty mushrooms, layered between deliciously crispy, toasted bread.

Great company fare but simple and quick enough for everyday! It's a side dish. It's an appetizer. It's a main dish. It's excellent anytime and anyway you serve it! (Well I guess some might argue that, since this really might not be a good breakfast but....to each his or her own!)

Another great way to fix the wonderful portabello mushroom! From Moosewood Restaurant New Classics cookbook.

I made some burgers and thought I'd experiment a bit and came up with a wonderfully delicious topping for grilled or broiled burgers! Follow your favorite recipe for making hamburgers and top with this tasty combination. This works well for 4 burgers.

A local restaurant serves these and the waitress offered the recipe! I have made these at home several times and they are DH's favorite way to eat portabellas. Amounts are not given as everything depends on your taste and how many mushrooms that you have to serve.
