This is something my 3 year old son and I came up with and he named. We make these for lunch about once a week and he loves to help. It's completely kid-friendly, easy, inexpensive and yummy! You can top it with any of your favorite pizza toppings.
I've been searching for a good pizza crust that is both gluten free and yeast free and it hasn't been easy. This one is the best I've had so far. I found this on www.celiac.com and not only is it pretty good, but it's easy too. Makes one 12-inch pizza crust.
I like this recipe because it's simple and uses ingredients I always have on hand. I got it from my dad, I can't say for sure where it originally came from, but maybe from a Betty Crocker cookbook. This dough also works well for making meat pies.
This is my final offering from the *Great Lamb* cookbook of the Australian Women's Weekly cookbook series. I'm not even sure why it was there as it is unrelated to lamb in any way & I almost missed it in the very back of the cookbook. This sounds good to me & would be great w/breadsticks or whatever else our imagination brings to mind. *Enjoy*
This pizza sauce recipe was given to me as a wedding present, written on the inside cover of a pizza cookbook. It is thick, saucy, spicy and delicious. I'll never use anything else on my homemade pizzas. I like to double or triple it and put it in Ziploc bags in my freezer.
Do not pre-cook the ground beef as it will cook in the oven, just make certain to crumble the ground beef very small --- all amounts may be adjusted to taste, Italian sausages meat may be used in place of the ground beef :)
This is a wonderful party tray addition to any buffet. Create a variety of different roll-ups for your party using sliced mushrooms and swiss cheese. How about a Reubin Roll up? The photo we submitted is a Cheesesteak Roll up first using mayo and horseradish sauce spread thin on the dough, then using chopped roast beef, (or you can use steakums), green bell peppers/onions and american cheese. How about a cream cheese and mixed fruit for a dessert roll-up? Endless possibilities. :)
Under orders from the teenagers in the house, I created recipes for their favourite take out breadsticks and dipping sauce. The dough can easily be made up in the bread machine. The sauce has been posted separately as Dipping Sauce - Pizza Hut Style.
An easy to fix deep-dish pizza cooked in a cast-iron skillet. To be sure pizza doesn't stick, I give it a shot of non-stick spray. For pizza sauce, I recommend Steve's Recipe #8497 and I haven't used refrigerated store-bought dough since.
Great for potlucks! You can even make these in mini muffin tins to make them kid-sized! Use your favourite pizza toppings for the filling. For another savoury tart recipe try Cheeseburger Tarts recipe#60239. These freeze well.
It's almost that time of year again...time for packing school lunches! I am posting some freezer friendly recipes from the Company's Coming "school days lunches" cookbook for anyone who needs some great make ahead recipes for the lunch box, Enjoy!
See additional notes at the bottom of the recipe from saturn--thanks for the great ideas!
