"Inspired by the Philadelphia cheese steak sandwich, which features thinly sliced beef, cheese and sometimes sautéed onions, this pizza is perfect for the few slices of leftover roast beef. You can spice it up with pickled hot peppers".
There is a pizza chain called Dewey's that makes this. Of course, I don't have their fabulous crust recipe here (if I did I'd be out selling pizza). Just use the best, lightest, average thickness crust you have (preferably home made). If it turns out even halfway like the pizza at Dewey's, I promise your desire to eat other pizza will be "nevermore". And yeah, I am still working on bringing you that crust recipe!
My husband wanted something a little different for pizza night tonight. He wanted a pizza with beef and onions, and maybe a few mushrooms. It sounded to me like he might have been inspired by steak & mushroom pie (especially considering he'd just been to the British import shop & bakery!). So here is my interpretation!
I was going to make myself a Pizza Margherita tonight, then I started thinking about how I'd make it...and before I knew it, I realized I was thinking more about making an Insalata Caprese! So I thought "Hmmm...why not?" So here it is: essentially a warm Insalata Caprese on a crust!
Every Friday we have "pizza night," and every Friday this is the pizza my DS wants. Sometimes he tries to change his mind--but he always changes it back to this. It's a very basic, very cheesy pepperoni & olive pizza made a bit healthier by some lighter ingredients.
Based on a pizza from Romio's, a regional chain of pizza & pasta restaurants. One of our very favorite pizzas! The first time I ever had it, DH made it for me the night we got engaged. Ahh, the memories! :D
My kids eat this on a regular basis BUT they think that Ranch dressing and cheese are condiments like ketchup is! We make these also as snack size using an english muffin. This is the actual recipe from California cheese with the added variations. Serving size is for 4 normal meal size portions or 1 teenage son!
This cheeseburger pizza is so different from the others on 'zaar' I renamed it 'Big Mac' because it tastes like a big mac only better. My son Christopher was served this as an appetizer at a bar. Very surprising how good.
From her latest cookbook, Express Lane Meals.
According to Rachael, "Grilled meat, salad, take-out Thai food, and pizza, all in one meal? There are no special ingredients required; you can get them all in the regular market, and have this pizza on the table in less time than it would take the delivery man to get to your door."
Made for Good Things Are Cooking Here!! (A non-cooking game) In the Australian/New Zealand Cooking Forum - http://www.recipezaar.com/bb/viewtopic.zsp?t=233992 Chef #547750 wrote "I had a pizza with a base like this in France once. They like them with a very thin, crispy pastry base rather than a yeast bread base."
If you like bruschetta then this recipe is for you!!! It's so easy but has a gourmet flair. Delish!!! Great for a hot summer night on the patio or on a cold winter's day by the fireplace!!!

This is a delicious pizza that's a combination of a pesto pizza and antipasto salad!!! Created by the Pantry Raiding Divas for the Zaar World Tour II! NOTE: If you'd rather use fresh red bell peppers, slice 1/2 red bell pepper into rings and saute with the mushrooms. NOTE: Purchased pesto may be used, if desired.
