    I like to serve these to my children for after school snacks. They are also great as an appetizer. They are easily frozen and popped into the microwave for quick reheating.

    This recipe is from Nathan Lyon's series, "Lyon in the Kitchen". Love it. It's a great and quick dessert. I usually slice the puff pastry diagonally to make baking more even and serving easier. The original recipe calls for crème fraiche and lemon zest topping, but I have drizzled caramel sauce on top or added a scoop of ice cream.

    Inspired by Italian Meat Bars (#402477) and King Arthur Flour's Portable Pizza. These kid-friendly lunch treats have a top and bottom crust, making them tidy to pack along and eliminates the problem of the hardened, cold cheese on the top. I use a mixed package of salami, pepperoni and ham for the meat, but you could use all of one kind or cooked Italian sausage. I use a Tex-Mex blend of grated cheese. Following the comments by a reviewer, I have made some notes in the directions.

    Not only is this a great way to get kids to eat veggies, but it looks so pretty on a buffet table is good for you and tastes awesome! You can use store bought dressing but I always make my own. You can find it on my page under Lowfat caeser dressing. If you do use storebought I think Ken's Steakhouse brand tastes best. I also use deli rotesserie chicken

    My husband & I saw this on "Down Home with the Neelys" on The Food Network the other night & thought it looked good. Tried it last night & boy were we right. It was delicious, both hot out of the oven & when it had cooled to room temperature.     This is a must have for breakfast. I made this one sunday morning and my husband loved it so much he asks for it every sunday. If you make the rolls with a lot of the mixture only one package of cresent rolls is needed. If you make the rolls with a smaller amount there may be enough for 2 packages of cresents. You can also use biscuit rolls if you like.
