This is the chicken salad recipe that is so delicious that I don't bother making any other anymore. If I have any leftover chicken, this chicken salad will be my lunch the next day! I love it! Easy and light! Enjoy!

    Recipe #26100

Another great salad idea from my friend, Alla. This is the perfect recipe when you have about 5 seconds to make up a salad and no dressing on hand. ALL MEASUREMENTS HERE ARE APPROXIMATE. Adjust to your taste. This dressing goes on a huge array of green salads; experiment freely with this. It is also a good way to use up that leftover pickle juice which some of us feel guilty just tossing down the sink. (My husband will drink the stuff straight, but the mere thought of that, well...)

This smoothie has an amazing flavor. Don't try this with powdered ginger, the flavor is just not the same. Okay, you can try it with 1/8 teaspoon of ground ginger, but the flavor really explodes with the fresh stuff. This recipe has no dairy products in it, great for vegans.

My 13-going-on-35 year old son tasted this at a friend's house and actually ASKED me to make salad!! Can you imagine?? Me either. I immediately called the friend's mom and got this recipe. Hope it gets your teens to eat salad too.

    Recipe #148138

from his website. He writes, "This tart, sweet salad dressing is wonderful on dark, leafy salad greens like romaine or leaf lettuce tossed with orange segments, black olives and red onion slivers."

There are a lot of us out there having just fruit in the morning, Somersizers, Fit-for-Lifers, or just plain fruit enthusiasts. I have this smoothie several times a week. I change the ingredients depending on the season. The recipe should make two servings, but I usually drink the whole delicious batch myself.

    Recipe #62074

A mild, easy, pleasant guac-style salad. Lends itself to endless variations.

    Recipe #151204

Anyone who likes smoothies should try almond milk - not just those who are trying to avoid cow's milk. Almonds are extremely rich in protein and iron, even more so than red meat (so I've heard). That's why we sometimes call this a "steak shake." It's so yummy and easy to make, and it sustains us all morning.

This salad makes a very nice packed lunch for work or a picnic.

    Recipe #18095

This is a tremendously versatile recipe- add fresh chopped strawberries, flavored liquer, cocoa, coffee, the possibilities are endless! I like to serve this only partially frozen, it has a very creamy taste and texture at that stage. Enjoy!

    Recipe #72039

This unusual combo of beets, walnuts and prunes makes a gorgeous and easy salad which keeps well in the fridge for quite a while. Serve it w/ any meat or poultry dish, or in a buffet w/ other dips and salads. The color is vivid magenta!

One of my favorite smoothie combos. I don't buy frozen berries, but freeze fresh ones for about an hour beforehand to give the smoothie that slushy feeling.

    Recipe #31545

This salad is traditionally served with any type of grilled meats. An excellent accompaniment to the main dish at your next barbecue. From Food and Drink Magazine. Hope you enjoy!

    Recipe #167760

    A fresh, light, not-sweet coleslaw.

    Recipe #123242

Another fresh and delightful salad from my friend, Alla. All amounts are estimates-- use your own best judgment.

    Recipe #167287

This is an adopted recipe. Here's what the OP had to say about it: "This is my recipe and is an excellent solution to managing your consumption of fat, triglycerides, sugar, etc., because it's all-natural without the need for any additives of any kind. Kids love eating and making this recipe, too! And it is the healthiest alternative to sugared treats. Best of all, you can eat as much as you like without any guilt -- if you do guilt with your eating program (such a waste -- see my profile)."

This is a traditional fruit salad that we always serve in the summer. It is traditionally served on the holiday of Tu Be'Shvat, but we love to eat it all summer long.

Posted in response to a recipe request. This is one of the most simplest pie crust recipes I've come across for Passover, and it's no-roll, a boon for those of us who hate rolling dough (I'm the President of the NoRoll Club)

Because sugar molecules in honey can convert into other sugars (e.g. fructose to glucose), honey is easily digested by the most sensitive stomachs, despite its high acid content. It helps kidneys and intestines to function better. There for honey is beneficial for maintaining a healthy digestive system as well as combating illnesses such as constipation.
