Has golden syrup in pie and almond meal in the crust. I cobbled several recipes together for a request.holy moly this is good. a bumped up custard pie
I made this using fresh pears. It was a big hit. It stayed moist. It seems like a lot of oil but it works.
I made this up when looking at www.epicurious.com recipes for figs. Not having apples or brandy, I made this up. It's REALLY rich; serve with ice cream and only a little crisp.
Art of Preserving, Jan Berry
