I know what you are thinking. "What are rice krispie cereal doing in a pasta dish?" Well I promise you I thought the very same thing. With much hesitation I tried this recipe 13 years ago and to my disbelief and excitement it turned out FABULOUS! This is one of my most favorite recipes to take to a neighbor. Not only is it very tasty but its a great conversation maker! I hope you enjoy it as much as my family and children do, they love it!
Dandelion are a diuretic as parsley is So eat this food sparingly. They are good sources of magnesium, calcium, potassium, and Vitamins A and C. You can store buy or pick your own. Choosing tender leaves in the spring or fall, before the plant has set a flower bud. Pick nice healthy leaves that has been grown in organic soil. No insecticides, herbicides and chemical fertilizers.
Another one from "The Splendid Table". Great for summer so you can use thoes sweet onions and fresh herbs from your garden. Use any herbs you like. Some suggestions are basil, marjoram, rosemary, sage and thyme or a combination of them.
Loosely based on"Every Day with Rachel Ray" Nov/06 edition. UPDATE: 08/26/2008 since everyone has increased the amount of garlic to 6 cloves, then I'll suggest that! Also, add some lemon zest. As for the heat - we enjoyed it the way it is. If desired, add some anchovies - it tastes great! Just ANOTHER UPDATE: 06/24/09 - increase the servings to 4 generous servings or 6 regular servings.
From Real Simple. I made this a few nights ago and everyone enjoyed it. I spilled something on the recipe before I made it and couldn't read the amount of olive oil or garlic so I had to wing it. If you make the olive sauce while the pasta cooks this can be ready in less than 15 minutes!
This is a really nice blend of flavours - and visually appealing. Quick and easy to toss together. I don't include the onions, but DH likes them in his. Also, if I'm not serving immediately, I'll use less noodles for a moister salad (otherwise best served fresh). Ditali noodles are a nice alternative to macaroni.
Good salad. I especally like it in the summer when I need something quick, easy and fillimg. Very easy to multiply or divide if you need more or not so much. I like to use different shaped pastas to make it a little more interesting each time.
A really great salad! Make sure to leave in the fridge for a minimum of 4 or more hours before serving. All ingredients can be adjusted to suit taste. I just use 2 small cans of tuna, or one realy large can, it really almost equals 2 cups, you can add in more if desired.
Needed a quick vegetarian dish for a special dinner when I found out I had nothing already made in my freezer. This dish came together in a flash. Sometimes it's good to have canned goods on the shelf!
I can honestly say that this is the best "hot tuna" dish I have ever had. Even my friend who does not eat tuna, period liked it. The fish taste is barely discernable yet complements the artichokes and olives beautifully.
I also invented it. I'm proud.
