Yummy, yummy! Some of my favorite things! If you are lucky enough to be able to make this when the tomatoes are in season, this salad tops all others! I love the presentation of the white asparagus contrasting with the dark green arugula and bright red tomatoes. Just a beautiful dish! Recipe courtesy of Emeril Lagasse.

    Recipe #425657

My local grocery store seems to put pork steaks on sale quite often, so I needed to find some other ways to make them. This makes them a little bit tropical, plus I just love grilled pineapple!!

    Recipe #441244

I love to grill, no matter the weather! This recipe lets you bring a bit of the tropics into your home, regardless of the temperature outside. Prep time is marinating time!

    Recipe #442894

This recipe is wonderful served over rice with a salad and some bread. The sweetness of the scallops is perfect with the pineapple. Great summertime recipe. Marinating time is not included in prep and cook time.

    Recipe #437144

Although the original recipe calls for Halibut, I've found that any firm, white fish will work. If your fish is frozen, soak it in milk to help remove the frozen "fishy" taste. This is an easy recipe that comes together fast. Except for the fish, most people will have all the other ingredients on hand. I love this after a hard work day....quick, easy, and delicious! Original recipe is from the "Reflections of the West" cookbook, but I've made a few changes.

    Recipe #424933

What makes this cake so tastey is using pureed fresh mango. I don't advise using frozen or canned mango. This cake is incredibly moist!

    Recipe #411939

This recipe is a great one to serve at a brunch. The fruity, sweet taste goes well with the often served hashbrown casseroles or sausage casseroles. Of course, you can serve it anytime! I read about this recipe in one of the "Sweet Potato Queens" books, but haven't been able to find it again, so I made it up to match it as best as I could.

    Recipe #383040

Yummy bread pudding made with croissants instead of bread! Made extra tastey by using coconut milk and macadamia nuts. From Brenda Roberts, Shorebird Beach Broiler.

    Recipe #370566

Delectably sweet & savory Island flavored pizza. Although posted with a refrigerated pizza crust, feel free to make your own or use a Boboli Pizza crust. Just adjust cooking times for your choice.

    Recipe #373839

The Sandshaker was a legend on Pensacola Beach, and it's signature drink started a festival there on the island. The government closed the bar and auctioned it off, but the drink remains a legend, and the festival lives on...complete with live music from vintage bands. I got this recipe from the bartender at the Sandshaker after they closed. Yum!!

    Recipe #373296

This recipe tastes like the tropics with its fresh mango, flaked coconut, and coconut milk. It is from the Gulf Coast Heritage Association's cookbook in Osprey, FL.

    Recipe #373100

This recipe is from "8 Grams or Less Low-Carb Recipes", a cookbook I got in the cookbook swap this year. These are good as a snack or on top of salads. Posted for ZWT5!

    Recipe #370957

Yummy crusted fish with the best tasting sauce ever! From Beverly Gannon's General Store Cookbook. I've found the Sriracha in the asian section of my grocery store.

    Recipe #370589

This recipe always reminds me of Christmas. My ex-husbands aunt always made it at Christmas time, and this is her recipe.

    Recipe #342558

A different, wonderful flavor for a firm, white fish. You can use red snapper, grouper or trigger fish. The mango salsa is excellent with chicken as well.

    Recipe #128574

If you don't have a large zip lock bag, you can marinate in a shallow pan, but the bag works best. This tastes great! Prep time does not include the marinating time!
