I have been fixing this for years. It came out of a Kingsford Barbecue book back in 1988. Tells you a little on how old I am. LOL. I no longer use the briquets. This works well on the gas grill also. Just throw on the grill and forget about it. Hope you enjoy them.
I have been making these for years, it's a family favorite! all ingredients are wrapped in a foil pouch then grilled for about 30-40 minutes, add in some cooked cubed ham for a complete meal, you could even make the packets well in advance then refrigerate until ready to grill :) Make certain to use only large heavy-duty foil for this and spray the inside of the foil generously!
No the potatoes will not set your mouth on fire they just have a lovely touch of spicy flavor. In the ingredients I say 3 tsp of Hot Spice Blend but it must be Penzel's Northwoods Fire Spice Mixture (the computer would not accept "Northwoods Fire"). This recipe is dedicated to SusieD for introducing me to Penzel Spices and her generous nature.
I don't remember where I got this recipe; it might have been from the box of rock salt. Anyway, it's very rich and no raw eggs. Cook time listed is approximate freezing time, will vary with your machine.
