Baby carrots with a crunchy Parmesan crust

    Recipe #143814

Awesome creamed spinach recipe, better than Boston market.

    Recipe #235012

I saw this on Comcasts digital cookbook (www.digitalcookbook.tv). I added them here so I can set up grocery lists with them included. I'll add on here when I've tried myself a better description. **** Serving yields 8 onions, as an appetizer they say 1 onion per person, but as a meal, 2

I have made this recipe a thousand times and we just love it. It came up for adoption and I jumped on it. Goes great with just about any main dish.

Recipe from Rick Browne's Barbecue America TV Cookbook

    Recipe #117668

A very yummy, quick and easy and NOT low-cal recipe I got from the MyFoodDiary.com forums. Different from cornbread. This is soft and served out of the pan with a spoon. Too soft to cut into squares and eat out of hand. Eat with a fork.

You might find yourself purchasing zucchini in your grocery store all year around just to make these, they are *that* good! --- you will be lucky if these even make it to the table lol! you may also add in some canned corn niblets or some cooked rice, although garlic powder may be used I strongly suggest to use fresh minced garlic, this recipe is very forgiving so don't worry about the the exact measurments--- these are delicious served with sour cream :) also take a look at my recipe#138173

    Recipe #244592

This is my favorite way of cooking corn on the cob and keeping it hot and fresh for dinner, or for a party. I usually buy Peaches and Cream corn on the cob to cook this way. The quantity of four is simply a formula. Double or triple the recipe, or use as many cobs of corn as you like. Serve with recipe #190648 or recipe #225178. Or, add a toasted tomato sandwich, recipe #98724, for a great meal. If you have any leftover corn, cut the kernels from the cob and add them to soups and chowders, salads, savory pancakes, cornbread or muffins.

This is a recipe from Joy of Cooking... totally changed my mind about Brussels Sprouts! It's imperative that you use fresh sprouts, the texture would be way off with the frozen ones.

    Recipe #21761

This a recipe I came up with to tempt children and other picky eaters to eat Spinach. They all love this dish.

    Recipe #177804

A holiday classic recipe that I keep on misplacing. Finally put it 'zaar so I'll know where to find it. ENJOY

    Recipe #79914

Carrots coated with a yummy butter, brown sugar and ginger sauce. I grew up eating these in Texas. Easy, quick and yummy!-- GREAT way to get kids to enjoy this veggie! If you like a lot of sauce double the sauce ingredients. I posted this less 'saucy' to keep the fat and calories down. The sauce is yummy and great on rice or just on a spoon! Hope you enjoy it as much as we do! I am so honored that this simple little recipe of mine has been so well received. Thank you all for your reviews!

Nice way to use up the garden's zucchini supply.

    Recipe #166404

This quick and easy stir fry is a colourful addition to grilled or roast meats. You can add extra garlic and basil at the end of cooking time.

    Recipe #68670

The original of this slightly modified recipe came from "Food and Wine" magazine. This appetizer or side dish makes several 3" patties and has it all -- it's healthy and light, wonderfully fast and easy to prepare, has a lot of eye appeal, cheap to make, and tastes incredible. I notice that most zucchini fritter recipes include cheese -- this one does not but the bright flavor certainly does not suffer for the lack of that particular ingredient. I use these zucchini fritters for my most high-end social/culinary occasions -- but I also love them for brunch with a glass of white wine. Enjoy!

    Recipe #212683

This recipe comes from the Better Homes and Gardens America's Hometown Favorites Cookbook. I like vegetables and, I love this! It makes a great side dish! I can eat this as the main entrée with a salad and bread. It is a great meal.

    Recipe #49906

Easy, classically Mediterranean, this zucchini emerges from the broiler with a still somewhat firm texture, coated with a lemony glaze and flavored with sweet herbs. This is also good grilled over the coals in good weather. Try cutting this on the diagonal to make elongated oval slices, good for both broiling and grilling techniques. This recipe is from Moosewood Low Fat Favorites!

Delicious way to serve the garden zucchini with fresh herbs. Recipe source: Bon Appetit (January, 1983)

    Recipe #71480

Here's a wonderful light, quick and easy veggie dish that pairs beautifully with grilled chicken or fish, -or- you can make a meal of it just add some crusty bread, Parmesan cheese, and a nice bottle of wine -or- serve over penne pasta. May be served hot, warm or at room temperature. Use fresh or dried herbs, as you wish. Enjoy!
