This recipe is adapted from a Family Circle recipe circa 1999. I have tweaked it to my liking but the integrity of the dish remains throughout. It's super simple and full of flavor.

Recipe #253433

Quick, easy, and inexpensive.

Recipe #245011

Adapted from Taste of Home's "Light and Tasty" publication, originally submitted by Sharon of Lakeport, CA. I have not tried this yet, but it looked tasty and healthy!

Recipe #241702

Want something different and delicious for supper? This one might just do it for your family if they like cabbage at all. This dish is NOT strong with curry and the spicy heat level is just noticeable. I have worked on developing this recipe for the past 5 years and I'm happily sold on the final result -- I could eat it every day. I made a special effort to give detailed instructions so that even new chefs can produce this dish. You could serve it nicely with a side of buttery mashed potatoes, maybe a little white gravy on them. Ultimately, I hope you love this semi-Asian dish as much as we do!

Recipe #248284

This recipe does not include rice, but you are always welcomed to add this ingredient.

Recipe #219277

This is a wonderful way to fix chicken breasts so they are healthy but still taste good. The chicken turns out very moist thanks to the marinating time. Basil, known to ancient Greeks as the royal herb, adds a bright summery flavor to this Mediterranean-influenced dish. Recipe is from Woman's Day.

Recipe #236461

One of my mom's favorites when I was growing up. I think she got tickled to see us all eat cooked cabbage! Since we protested so much about the smell.

Recipe #88959

This is a great recipe, with olives and capers to give it a gourmet touch! I got it from Calling All Cooks TV show. Enjoy!

If you are from the Rochester area that phrase would make your mouth water. This is any drunk college kids best friend. It is a mixture of meat, carbs, and more carbs piled onto a foam container found in Nick Tahou's and "hots" food joints all over the Rochester area. For about 6 bucks (including tip) you get this plate plus a soda, not too shabby. They have a veggie version, fish, and my favorite--the white hot version. When I left the Rochester to go to school the first thing I would do when I came home was got to a "hots" and order a garbage plate. Also dont expect to finish this unless you are drunk. For more info on this delicious dish go to and search garbage plate. (I put the direct link on here before but it messed up the rest of the recipe for some reason, so youre gonna have to do it the hard way lol) Also times are approx. if you make your own sauce or not. Also to speed things up I use Recipe #226112 for the potatoes. This recipe is scaled to one, but it can really feed at least four people.... but whats the fun in sharing a garbage plate??

Recipe #224374

A fun, easy way to use St. Patrick's leftovers.

Recipe #217335

This is our traditional St. Patrick's Day meal. I have served this sweet, spiced version of corned beef ever since I first tried it years ago. Not the healthiest meal, but worth it for just that one special holiday each year. I serve this with soda bread, mashed parsnips, and boiled cabbage. This serves 4-6. If you prefer, you can sub mini red skinned potatoes and baby carrots so you don't need to do any cutting, just use more of them. Adapted from a Killian's recipe.

Recipe #20707

I made this for dinner after looking at several similar recipes. It was a hit with the whole family, even the resident food snob (casserole???) Nice & easy, ooey gooey casserole that reminds me of the 70's, lol. Serve this with noodles/pasta or rice.

Recipe #193337

Serve this with a side of veggies and you have a complete meal.

I got this recipe from a friend who was raised in Argentina. It was one of her favorites. It soon became one of mine. This recipe can be prepared up to 8 hours ahead and baked at dinner time. Bring to room temperature first. It is also great re-heated the next day.

Recipe #215364

A family favorite from a Land of Lakes cooking magazine I picked up years ago.

Recipe #214642

I made this to satisfy a craving and decided it was worth sharing

Recipe #214186

Shapario's is a local deli that is well known in the Midwest. A few years ago the recipe for their stuffed cabbage was published in a local newspaper. Anyone who is a fan of cabbage rolls will love this!

Recipe #211816

This is a healthy favorite that was found in Once-a-Month Cooking by Mimi Wilson and Mary Beth Lagerborg. My family loves it and I love it that they are getting so many wonderful veggies backed into this delicious stew. I double the recipe and stock up the freezer.

Recipe #212359

This was one of my dad's favorite recipes. Mom would triple and quadruple this because he ate more than his share of the meatballs if they were having company.

Recipe #209051

Easy to make and fairly inexpensive.
