In this quick and easy one-skillet supper, toss dark leafy greens, diced tomatoes and white beans with gnocchi and top it off with mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses. Serve with a mixed green salad with vinaigrette. NOTE: Look for shelf-stable gnocchi near other pasta in the Italian section of most supermarkets. I used mini potato gnocchi and arugula and it was delicious. I added the optional seasoning as my preference was a little more Italian flavor. Original recipe from EatingWell Magazine, Jan/Feb 2009.

    Recipe #367677

Something a little different to do with your pasta. This is really easy to throw together after work, and have on the table quickly.

    Recipe #68317

I have had several people ask me for an authentic chicken gumbo recipe. This is my attempt at a recipe. I didn't realize it until I sat down the try to type this, I don't know HOW I make gumbo!Gumbo isn't about recipes. I never saw my Maw Maw's recipe because she didn't have one. Gumbo is cooked with instinct and heart. Gumbo is a dish you are taught not something you can make by reading a recipe. My gumbo won't taste like yours and yours won't taste like mine, altough mine tastes pretty similar to Maw Maw's but that is probably because she taught me how to make it when I was about 8. If you have the ability to cook with pinches, dabs and shakes, if you can season, then taste, then season a little more until it tastes right to you, then you can make gumbo using this "recipe". If you can't, you might want to find someone to show you how.

This simple and delicious recipe was in Ruth Reichl's book "Comfort Me With Apples". It is a classic American style curry - easy to make and doubles or triples easily.

Crispy layers of eggplant between homemade marinara sauce and lots of fresh mozzarella and parmigano reggiano cheese.

    Recipe #245444

One glance at the ingredients for this recipe and I knew it was, for me, a must-try recipe. I also loved the inclusion of time for marinating the chicken. Marinating always makes SUCH a difference to the end result. I'll be making this without the red chilli, but I'm well aware that many others will probably want to increase the heat. C'est la vie! I'd also prefer to serve it with a rice dish rather than couscous. I found this recipe in the latest edition - May 2005 - of the 'Australian Good Taste' magazine.

Clam Chowder for the Crock Pot (or not)

    Recipe #37318

This is the best chili recipe I have ever tried. I'm not sure where the recipe originated, but it is amazing! Sometimes, I don't bother adding all four cans of the kidney beans and it still turns out wonderful. Once anyone tastes this chili, they will be begging for the recipe!! Enjoy!

My family and I really enjoy Southwest foods. Chile relleno are one of our favorites, however; time does not always allow for the time involved in preparing chile rellenos. This recipe is easy and quite good.

Time saver casserole and the taste is excellant! originally from Canadian Living magazine.

    Recipe #15280

You will not believe the deeply satisfying flavour of this stew. This is our favourite wintry stew dish - comfort food to the max. The cooking time is more or less accurate, but it really depends on the cut of meat used - not everyone used chuck, and then, not all chuck is the same! You really have to poke and prod and taste to get it to where you want it...but that's what cooking is all about, isn't it? ;-)

    Recipe #80536

My family loved this recipe. All the flavors of the real deal, only quicker to put on the table. It would be a lovely brunch dish too.

    Recipe #17917

This is a recipe I made up and my kids love it!

Good and creamy, got it from my bosses wife who got it from her mother-in law.

    Recipe #13630

My family loves to try "exotic" things. We really enjoyed this Spanish styled meal in one pot.

    Recipe #87236

Prepared with eggs and baked until firm, this is terrific hearty fare for a cold winter night.

    Recipe #162547

Chilean potato pie - a staple in this country. It's good country food and simple to make.

    Recipe #201227

A wonderful Spanish Paella that's very easy to make and the presentation is great as well. You'll need a very large skillet or a paella pan. The clams are optional, but I would recommend using them.

A way of using up leftover turkey (and other things) that doesn't leave it dry and flavourless. The recipe is my own invention, and I enjoy it because the meat remains moist and flavoursome.

    Recipe #16722

I first tried this recipe while traveling in Chile. I later found that it originated in Spain and migrated over to Chile. The Chilean version is a little different than the original Spanish one but I personally prefer it. Be prepared - it's a rich dish and rather time consuming, but perfect for a cold winter evening.
