Nice Mexican twist on boring old rice. If you can't find parboiled rice at your grocery store, long-grain rice may be substituted, but just won't be quite as yummy.

    Recipe #304883

This recipe was tucked away in one of my mom's old files! I'm not a big asparagus fan, but others in my family have enjoyed this for decades!

    Recipe #286253

Though I'm not particularly a fan of canned asparagus, this casserole version produces a mighty fine dish...it's all in the sauce.

This is a fairly easy recipe. I found this when I was looking for a way to convince my two sons to try asparagus - voila! They loved it! Enjoy!

This is a MUCH MUCH MUCH healthier version of the awesome blossom that so many of us love. After tasting this one and knowing the nutrition information on the other, I will have a hard time ever going back.

This is an easy, simple recipe that goes over well. You can make the filling ahead and scoop out the tomatoes well ahead of time but do not fill the tomatoes until just before serving. I like to add the lettuce to the filling just before filling the tomato however the original recipe said you can mix it in when you combine all the stuffing ingredients. Looks great on a buffet table

    Recipe #47444

This is an easy and satisfying casserole we really love when the weather turns cooler, which it has. I like to add about a cup of diced sweet onions, but you be the judge.

    Recipe #393589

I had this recipe for eons!! Originally found in a Seventeen Magazine EONS ago!!(Try 20 years ago). It's still a great recipe except I added garlic to the tomato sauce and extra oregano.

    Recipe #72086

Fat Free version of the French Fry! I have in the past substituted Cajun Spice in place of the seasonings in the recipe.

This can be dropped by spoonfuls and fried in the traditional manner, but baking makes this much lower in fat.

    Recipe #99402

Straightforward mac n cheese made w/ a white sauce and using plain yogurt in the recipe and reserved cheese topping. I left out salt on this and let ea. person add their own salt and extra pepper at the table. Also, I freshly grate my nutmeg and use NY State Cheddar. This is a starting point for mac and cheese. Some embellish it with tomato, other cheeses, onion, green or sweet red peppers, buttered bread crumbs or cracker topping etc. I adapted it from "Now....Your'e Cooking" website.

    Recipe #346079

My mom's recipe and I love it too.

    Recipe #11795

Rich, with bold flavor. This is a recipe you can count on to please a crowd. Use reduced fat cheeses to make it easier on the fat and calories!

Quick and tasty lunch or side dish for dinner.

    Recipe #14031

It does take a little more effort than box macaroni, but it's totally worth it. Besides, it doesn't really take any more time, because you make the sauce while the noodles cook! The added cottage cheese keeps it creamy and cheesy even with less cheddar, no butter, and less oil. If you want to bake it, sprinkle some buttered bread crumbs on top and bake it in a greased dish at 350F for 30-35 minutes. I'm usually too much in a hurry to want to wait for it to finish baking, so stove top macaroni is king at our house!

I've used this delectable recipe for years, and unlike many others it doesn't contain cornbread mix. It is always a huge hit, both as a Thanksgiving dish, but also a great side dish for a summer cookout. I hope you enjoy it, it's my first post here at the Recipe*zaar...I double this for Thanksgiving
