This is another great way to make something great ahead of time to thaw as needed or eat right now with little effort!

    Recipe #79944

I've seen how much teen boys can eat. I don't know where they put it all, empty limbs maybe? If you're on a budget and you're trying to cook OAMC... this recipe can help a lot. It's affordable to make, easy and I think they're tasty. The recipe calls for those refrigerated biscuit doughs but I've made bread/biscuit dough myself before and it worked just as well. That was a time the refrigerated dough was a bit more than my budget would allow. This makes 60-80 cups depending on what dough you use and the size of the muffin tins you use. It's written to be baked but most of the time they just nuke it, nuked bread.. ew. Anyhow, if you have more than one teen it's a great recipe. If your kids don't like onions just put some onion powder in the mix, they won't know it's there then.

I think this is our #1 all time family favorite and it's often requested for birthday dinners. It's the 'Bestest' because my daughter described it as such when she was little. This freezes well and I've added directions for that and for reheating.

If you love good, old-fashioned, down home chicken and dumplings, this is the real thing! Note that this dumpling recipe makes "a bunch of dumplin's" because around here, most folks want more dumplin's than chicken. (prep time includes cooling time for cooked chicken.)

I searched and finally found this recipe on the internet. It is a copycat of the Bourbon Chicken sold in Chinese carry-outs in my hometown. This recipe is so good that my sons gobble it up leaving me just a spoonful. Their excuse was they thought I had eaten. Editor's Note: Named Bourbon Chicken because it was supposedly created by a Chinese cook who worked in a restaurant on Bourbon Street.

This recipe appears by special request. Creamy chicken and green chilies I use the regular sized tortillas.. not the large ones.I overlap the tortillas to make the layer. I make it up in an oblong serving dish, I think it is about a 9 1/2 inch by 11 inch pan. But any size you would put 1 full cake mix into will work well . I love this recipe.

Another Once a month meal that's sure to please. My little girl likes these because they pick up easily in her hands! *I revised this recipe based on several folks pointing out that I had made a mistake on the amount of cream cheese. Thank you so much for the input!

Adapted from "Entertaining on Ice" by T. Hayward. If not making for OAMC, this recipe can be cooked after letting chicken marinade for at least 5 hours or overnight.

I made two of these gorgeous rolled stuffing logs, one for Thanksgiving and froze the second to serve with my Christmas meal. The entire recipe makes 2 stuffing logs and there will also be a third portion left to stuff a turkey with, or to bake in a casserole. If you only want to make 1 roll, simply divide most of the ingredients by 3, except for the apple, egg, and bacon - use 1 small egg, 1 small apple, and 12 pieces of bacon, cooking time will remain the same. A bit tricky to roll up, but the final product is worth all your hard work. You can substitute fresh red currants for the cranberries or use dried cranberries or dried cherries if you prefer. Also, if you only have dried herbs, that is fine.. just add dreid versions to taste, perhaps a few spoonfuls of each. This gets sliced and looks so lovely with the center of berries. Adapted from a version I found in Good Food magazine.

For the Vegetarian version: use your favorite veggies, omit the cinnamon stick. This is my sister's recipe (Thank you Najla! XOXO), she made it on the stove top. It's really yummy!!

    Recipe #24139

An easy recipe that produces tender pork chops with a wonderful gravy, I used a 3/4-inch thick center cut pork chops and browned them first, you may increase the amount of pork chops and double the sauce recipe, this can also be made in the oven for a shorter time :)

To me Fannie Farmer's recipe is the only "real" Macaroni & Cheese. It's from my 1946 edition of "Fannie Farmer's Boston Cooking School Cookbook". With time on it's side - this recipe is hands down the best for traditional, homemade baked macaroni & cheese - comfort food. Please Note: If you use CHEAP CHEESE you will end up with a BLAND and FLAVORLESS DISH!

    Recipe #135350

Had this at my sisters and had to find the recipe on the web. Even folks who don't care for salmon love this recipe. I tweaked it a little to lower the sodium and fat. Update: I bought some frozen salmon, made the marinade, and poured into Seal-A-Meal bags with the frozen salmon, and put all in the freezer. Defrosted in the frig overnight. Yum, yum. Pulling the air out with a Seal-A-Meal or Food Saver draws the marinade deep into the fish. Also used the marinade on a very thick sirloin steak for two. Wow! Going to try it on chicken, too.

Have you ever craved those awesome BBQ's that are served at 4H or fair foodstands? Well, look no further. I found this recipe in a cookbook I received as a gift. It's title is the Codington County 4H Leaders Barbeque. I have made this for the last 15 years. I also freeze it for later use,it makes a very large batch. It is best the next day so please don't miss this step. It is often requested by my family to make. I hope you enjoy this!

Here is an organized way to get a wonderfully easy dinner together in record time.

    Recipe #51115

I got this basic recipe from another site but changed it a little for my family. The original recipe called for orange juice as the liquid instead of milk. I also added the vanilla as we think it gives it a nice flavor.

From a supermarket handout. Marinate from 1 hour to overnight and grill.

This is my family's favourite butter chicken recipe - it came about after my youngest son stayed at a friends house and they bought Indian take-away. Youngest says this is just like the one he had at his friend's. This is one of favourite dishes. Although quite often thought to be an Indian dish this recipe was actually developed in the UK.

These are just perfect for a light dinner party dessert! And totally simple. You could also fill with lemon curd, or Top N Fill for a caramel twist. I think this is from the Sydney Morning Herald?
