    No Onion No Garlic

    I have several friends who are allergic to edibles in the onion and garlic families, so I've begun collecting recipes for them. These recipes do not include those which use any seasoning mixes, salad dressing mixes, seasoned breadcrumbs, ketchup/catsup, soup mixes, or worchestershire sauce - all of which almost always contain onions/garlic. Onion/garlic family: leeks, shallots, scallions, all types of onion and garlic.

He requested I post it and I must admit, it is very good soup and I’m not a fan of spicy foods but this was fantastic. In his words....“Friday I went to Phillpots, which is a small takeaway "lunch bar". I love their soup and went for the sweet potato, chili and chicken soup. It was so damn good that whilst we were at the supermarket on Saturday, I thought would try to make it. So, I used the obvious ingredients and added a little salt, pepper and cream and voila. It was near on a perfect match! Not only was it good, it's SOOOOOO easy to make, so hope you give it a go. You wont be disappointed ;)”

    This is one of my personal FAVS!! Penne tossed in a mascarpone cream sauce with cremini mushrooms, asparagus, sun-dried tomatoes and walnuts. From Cafe Lucci :O) If you plan on trying this don't skimp on those ingredients -- The flavors from the mushrooms and tomatoes blend so wonderfully!! When you salt and pepper to taste, the sauce thins out real well so test it out after mixing it with the pasta ;O) This recipe says it's for 2 -- I put 2-4 because the portions are huge!!! Enjoy!

    This is from Recipe 911 and a Tyler Florence recipe. The topic was speedy dinners for 1. The salmon is pan seared and then roasted in the oven and served over a spicy cucumber salad. Increase the oven time to increase doneness.
