OK, so this is the idea: sauce Marie Rose goes Moroccan. Instead of the usual tomato ketchup (well, be honest) I dollop in some good bought harissa. It works wonderfully, and the honey makes up for the sugar you lack by giving up the ketchup. Be careful when you buy harissa though, as not only does it vary enormously in strength but also some jars that bear the name are not really harissa but some paste made red with beetroot and carrot. Check the back of the tub for ingredients. I used a gorgeously mild harissa here, a rose harissa, that I find poetically desirable. But start with a small amount of the harissa before working up to the amount I have stipulated below. I love prawns/shrimp with their shell still on; a bit of DIY at the table always seems to help the atmosphere. But if you hate mess and can't bear the sight of seeing people dropping shells all over the place and haven't got time for treatment, then simply buy peeled prawns/shrimp instead.

This recipe was featured on the "Nigella" show. This is a great alternative to those horrid powedered drinks. A perfect Summer drink. Nigella apparently likes hers with a little vodka.

I saw Nigella Lawson make this on Travel & Living. Ingredients are almost accurate as I didn't jot down anything. Looks real tempting though.

This very unusual salad is very pretty and unique. This may not be for everyone's taste buds, but is a pleasant change from the norm. I saw this prepared on the tv program "Nigella Bites." It would go well with Meditteranean or Middle Eastern style dishes and is a nice compliment to grilled chicken or fish. Be sure to only use fresh ingredients. I don't serve this as a side salad on its own, but rather, as a bed for salmon or other fish.

One of the most simple summer desserts, peaches macerated in the sweet wine muscat and served in a glass if you like or a bowl. 2 ingredients with a 3rd optional, nigella lawson does it again. I suggest checking out the picture at for a serving suggestion. time does not include refridgeration time but it can be 1 - 6 hours if you wish to get your dessert out of the way early. Otherwise you can, as nigella suggests also put a plate of ripe peaches and bottle of muscat on the table

This recipe comes courtesy of the domestic goddess herself Nigella Lawson. A beautifully flavoured flat omelet that can be eaten any time of day as a snack or light meal. We especially like it in crusty rolls/French stick as a hot sandwich, but would be great rolled up in a chapatti or just eaten flat on a plate.

This is a wonderful full flavored soup. I could not find kaffir or lemongrass where I live but it was still yummy. I found the Tom Yam at my local oriental store. I also added a block of firm tofu (Chopped).
